Terrapin x

I’m in the market for a new range finder. Im not much of a long range shooter these days, just a hunter and not very Tec savvy either.

I’ve been researching the Terrapin X and haven’t seen to many updates since about 2021. My plan is to use it with there app or a dope card for hunting. I don’t really want to spend the money on a Vector X, and my wife would most likely kill me.

At the moment I’m using a Leica 3200.com that is for the most part useless on non reflective targets at all ranges on most days. So frustrating! It started out great several years ago and now just basically a experience set of binoculars.

So guess for those that have a Terrapin X, are they good to go? Is it worth buying for the use I intend? Do they range well on non reflective targets?

Thanks
Bob

Prosecutor and lead detective fired in most botched murder trial maybe of all time

There were several threads about the Karen Read trial while it was going on - evidence tampering , police changing statements - a star witness for the prosecution charged with perjury, lead detective on the case a known liar - sending sexual messages about the defendant, talking about the trial with witnesses- NONE of whom actually saw the event. Crime lab leaving food in the vehicle- and letting people mess with the car after it was in evidence- even trying to replace a part to make the story fit- head light I believe.
Prosecutor coaching testimony and suppressing evidence.

So no one disputed that a dirty cop was run over - Karen Read may even have been involved- BUT police changed their reports to say - “Karen Read started screaming what have I done” when she heard her husband was dead - and on the stand had to admit that on one actually heard her say anything close to that .

The type of complete shit show banana republic keystone court we’ve come to expect .
So if she actually did kill her husband- which the state presented 0 evidence of - she walked free because of evidence tampering and complete incompetence.
And if she didn’t do it there is a Boston State Trooper got murdered in front of his house and no one is looking for who done it

SOLD Like New Manners TCS MAX REM 700 SA $1400

Shot from the bench in one match. Decided to stay with my chassis because it is lighter. This is the MAX version that has the balance point moved to the front of the mag well. Comes with Sikes rail/clutch and all weights that you see. This is the version where you run your own M5 pattern DBM. I believe the color is Tommy Bahama. You won't find one cheaper, IF you can find one at all.

$1400 shipped via Paypal F&F, Venmo, or Zelle.

Gunsmithing Ruger M77 stock inletting

Ever since bigger stock companies have "trimmed the fat" for stock inlets, the tempo here has gone bezerk.

This is our "bedding ready" inlet for the M77 action from Ruger. It's now a std service. The receiver surfaces are offset by +.05" so that the resin casting isn't paper-thin in some spots and fat in others.

M14/M1A built or buy??

Always wanted a M1A pattern rifle just for nostalgia/conversation piece but definitely plan on shooting it, hunting with it occasionally too. The easy button is just buy a Springfield Armory M1a national match and hope for the best but I want a little more than that.

Plan is to run it suppressed(velos lbp 762), smaller scope(thinking a Leupold mk5 2-10), I will reload for this gun and would shoot steel to 800ish and hunt as well.

With that being said, my gut tells me to have one built that is a little more refined than just a rack grade M1A but I don’t want to spend $4k on one either. What is the consensus here from yall that have done it both ways?

Optics SPF

Looking to sell. Zelle preffered but can take usps mo or PayPal ff. If paying with mo, expect delays.

Schmidt and Bender 3-20x50mm PMII. This one is CCW. Locking mtc turrets. Has some scuffs on the turrets and some small marks on the body but glass is clean and functions well. I do not have the rear scope cap but have one of the one hundred concept deals I’ll toss it. Scope comes with an ard.

The mount is not included but I will let it go with at buyers request. It is a 1.5” ARC M brace with 20 moa built in.

$2445 shipped without the mount. If you want the mount add another $270

Would consider trades plus cash for an NX8 2.5-20, XTR Pro, or a Cronus G2 at this time. I haven’t been able to shoot as much as I’d like for awhile and would like to let the S&B go to a good new home.

Marlin 336 SBL lever action came home with me

This past weekend I stumbled across this new Marlin 336 SBL (.30-30 Win) at a local gun shop that I was checking out. I've always been a fan of the stainless Marlin 336 rifles but never saw one on a shelf. This one came home with me. Since it's already threaded for 5/8-24, I mocked it up with my TBAC Ultra 5 for the moment to check it out, but the shoulder at the muzzle appears to be too small (.680 inch) per TBACs requirements (.750 inch). So, I'll have to have it re-threaded for 9/16-24 and get the appropriate adapter from TBAC. Super excited to get it out and shoot it!

7 prc load help

Hey guys I believe I’m posting this in the correct spot if I am not someone please tell me. I just bought the gen 2 seekins havak elements in 7 prc I bought Peterson brass, CCI 250 primers, Berger 168 elite hunters. I could use some help on a powder choice. I would like to be atleast 2800 fps more if possible. I started yesterday with h1000 at 64 grains and I was around 2560 fps I know that’s a mild load and I’m going to keep working it up until I start seeing pressure just wasn’t sure if anyone had any suggestions on a better powder choice. With this only having a 20” barrel I know it will be harder to achieve the higher velocities. Also I would like to stick with the 168’s but could also bump up to the 175’s if someone’s has a good load.

SOLD Zeiss S3 6-36x Mil

Bought this off a member a while back. Ended up selling a few rifles so now I'm scope heavy and don't need it. I've never used it personally but it does have a few spots of wear from the previous owner. See photos.

Comes with the box and manual.

Zelle or Venmo gift or cover the fee. I can not accept PayPal. My account is locked by PayPal.

No trades. Happy to do whatever to verify I'm legit. Been seeing to many scammers on here lately.
