Need some hide advice please. Going to get my first suppressor. It will live between my AIAX Short action and my ar 5.56. Going back and forth between hux 7.62 ti and griffin dual lok 7. I am looking at the griffin hard because of the military discount. It is a very good discount. I will preface this with I don't know shit about suppressors. Never been around them except at a match. Want to sell/trade my Leupold D-EVO. It has been mounted and sits with an Eotech XPS 2-1 on a unity mount, which is my preferred setup over the LCO or any other red dots. It has sat in my closet since being installed and is unfired. Comes with the original hard shell Leupold case.

I would trade (plus cash coming from me) for an MDT HNT 26 chassis in Rem 700 LA or a Proof 7mm Rem Mag prefit barrel. As for the chassis, I my preference is cobalt green and folding and ARCA, but since that combo is unobtanium I can work with what you have.

Acquired a cool 1903 with competition redfield iron peep sights.

Shoots really good, getting 1 inch groups at 100 yards with the iron peep sights.

Unfortunately, the stock is a homemade laminate with a large oversized forend with a square bottom that is made for benchrest and does not fit me. Actually rather uncomfortable to shoot and I am a offhand 4 position shooter in which benchrest is used to check ammo and then back to the skillset I prefer, both competition and hunting.

Going to start hacking away on the stock and cutting it down, customizing it to my measurements but would like to know if the Boyd's replacement is something I should consider before starting the project.



leaning towards the non thumbhole stock, primarily for strength. and durability.

Anybody have any advice and recommendations?

Bought this a while back, didn't shoot quite as well as I had hoped. About 1 moa with handloads. Put about 500 down the tube and benched it. Sick off it sitting around so selling it cheap.

Like the title reads I'm looking for some quick data for a 16 inch 308 bolt gun. I'm trying to through together a quick hunting load for my brother in law. I have hornady brass, CCI match primers, 178ELDXs. I have imr 4064, H4350, Reloader 16, 4831SC and a hand full of other powders on hand. I can easily grab varget, CFE 223, and a hand full of other powders at my LGS. What do you suggest? Again this is a 16 inch bolt gun and he will shoot with a can 100 percent of the time. I have plenty of reloading experience, I have just never roled any 308. Forster dies are already on the way.
