Got one last year I think it was, may have had it for two now, but there's no data for Hornady's A-tip in the Hornady manual I have. Can anyone post a screen shot for the 176gr .308 A-tip's? Using Hodgdon Varget.

I'm curious because there's a big difference in similar weight projectiles and max charge with Varget between the Hornady manual I have and the Lee manual I have....like 42 point something vs 45gr as max for 175-180gr jacketed projectiles.

I picked up the New Bushnell 3-18 Match Pro, and when comparing it in a Side by Side to my Leupold MK5 3.6-18 IMO I'd say the clarity on the Match Pro is definitely better with less CA. The closest house to me is exactly 207 yards away and I can clearly make out the large Phillips head screws on his front door. The MP is brighter and seems to gather more light.

The Eye Box is extremely generous and the 15yrd parallax is very broad not anywhere near as sensitive as the MK5.

The illumination shake awake function is helpful. The Match Pro has some shared features with the MK5 such as the Rev indicator, Zero Stop, Locking Elevation, Caped widget.

The Elevation adjustment is just as Audible and tactile as the MK5 but the Match Pro windage is pretty quite but still tactile.

The Turetts are easier to read especially compared to that funky windage line the MK5 has. 40 Mils of Elevation, 14.5 Mils Windage for the Match Pro, Field of View at 3x is 41' at 100 yds and at 18x 6.8' . Has a very generous 3.9" Eye Relief.

I prefer a 34mm main tube over the Leupold 35mm because 98% of my optics are 34mm which I already have plenty options on hand for mounting.

I've had to send in Vortex, Nightforce, minox, Leupold, Burris..what shit show that was but never a Bushnell HDMR/DMR/Pro.

At only only 2oz heavier and half the price of the MK5 I feel like I've found the perfect SPR Optic. If the reliability is anywhere near as good as the Tactical Elite 3.5-21x50, it's a win.

I have a very mild 6GT Load. 32.8 Gr Varget. I am getting pressure signs all over the place and even popped a primer.

One of the things I noticed is my round is VERY short. I engage the lands at a COAL of 2.46" with a 105 BTHP and even 109 ELD Match factory ammo looks like it is jamming in the lands. (2.56" OAL, 1.97 CBTO).

When I was first develpoing the load, called the barrel chamber and he assured me as long as it headspaces, all was well. Headspace isn't the problem, I've pulled the ejector and chambered brass fine, along with a case gauge--even fired brass fits the case gauge. That is how I found my short distance to the lands.

So I grabbed some factory ammo at the store and chambered it and it LOOKs like there are engraving marks even on factory ammo. I am not an expert reloader, so I tend to blame myself, but I cannot for the life of me figure out why I am having so much trouble with this round.

According to my book, (and various other references) Max Charge is 34.5 of Varget and COAL should be 2.540. There is no way in hell my rifle chambers that COAL without jamming into the lands. I have 32.8 and COAL of 2.46 to get off the lands. Anytime I deviate from norms gives me pause and I really could use some help.

Getting incosistent ejector swipes, 1 blown primer. SD is all over the place (I can hold 10 SD for 20 shots 6.5 Creed/ 308). Bartlein Barrel Chambered by a "good" mfgr (I'll give em a chance to fix it, if its bunk first). What do I do. I can't shoot this thing like this. 2 grains below max charge! Even for a 110grain a-tip!

If any of you guys ever go to the range testing ammo in say 5 shot groups each, how do you organize and transport it? Are there any boxes or containers that make it easy to store the ammo and maybe notes of what the loads are?

I've been using ziplock bags but it seems like there could be a better way I don't know of
