Sooo… I have been trying to sell some guns for a while, more so on armslist but recently on here as well. I haven’t gotten a single serious bite on any of them. I feel like my prices are right, my guns are not cheap crap, and they are in good shape.

I've been looking through all the 50 bmg options and am down to the desert tech hti and the barrett m82a1. Pros of the desert tech for me are multiple calibers if I wish, more accurate, much more portable and easier to store, better trigger, and lower cost. Intended use is to see what it will do to stuff in the desert with surplus ammo so I really don't need match grade accuracy. I've heard some complaints on the magazines on the hti, anybody have issues with them? I'd hate to spend the money and have feeding problems. The other thing I'm wondering about is recoil on the bolt gun. It's a 50 bmg, obviously it's going to have some recoil. The hti is only 20 lbs compared to 32 lbs of the barrett and there's no action cycling to soak up some recoil. I'm not recoil shy but I don't want to be beat after 3 rounds either. How would you describe the hti recoil, especially those of you who have shot other 50s? So what's everyone's overall experience with the hti? Any regrets or a solid rifle all around?

I haven't loaded subsonic 308 in about ten years. I want to shoot subs in a 16" barrel I've got. Trail boss was my go to back then but I guess now it's gone.

Gun runs flawlessly has some rub marks from riding in the truck but nothing by that effects the way it works. $1350 shipped everywhere in US but Cali

PGW slightly changed their EFR rails that were used on the USMC M40A3 and A5 rifles. I'm not sure how much they changed on the new rails, but they no longer use the shims between the top and bottom sections.

If you're planning on doing an A3 or A5 build, shoot PGW a call and see if they have any of the old style EFR rails left. When you call, ask for Roxanne, she knows that we're looking for the old style.

When I ordered mine they had about 10 left in stock. Hope this helps anyone who needs parts!

Wife was talking about wifi or cellular cameras and I know nothing about them.

Do any of you run trail cameras that you prefer. I like the idea of checking them without stomping my fat butt into the woods.

Can someone who knows more about annealing than me give me some guidance?

I've watched a Eric Cortina's video with his benchsource annealer and he like to see a slight glow in the brass to let him know its properly annealed. I can get the brass to glow with my flame annnealer but I feel like it was in the flame too long. I backed it off a couple seconds and landed here. Did I over cook my brass?

Has anyone reloaded using 308 federal gold medal brass? I have access to an absolute ton of it from work (swat sniper team). It doesn’t appear to be crimped either.

Anyone with experience reloading it? Worth it or no? I don’t have a 308 barrel, but I’m debating it just to use this brass.
