Optics WTS ZCO 527 MPCT1X

I have for sale a slightly used Zero Compromise Optic for sale. It is overall in great shape but has some slight anodize fading from the rings and a tiny mark on the elevation turret. I have probably fired less than 200 rounds of 6 dasher through it and it's an awesome scope but mainly use Tangents for matches and don't really have plans to use this.

It has the 10 mil NLE turret and the locking windage. Awesome scope and the glass is flawless.

Comes with the ranger wrap that was installed before mounting so under the wrap it is just like it came from the factory.

Has an option to come with a Hawkins scope mount in anodized green and 1.25" height. Or can come with a MPA 1.25" height, 0moa, 36mm mount.

-Scope price with no mount $3750
-With Hawkins mount $3950
-With MPA mount $3900

Looking to sell or could consider a trade for a tangent theta.

PayPal payment friends/family please.

6.5 Creedmore Large Frame Loads

Evening all, I'm working on reloading for my 6.5 Creedmore large frame. Im running a 20" Faxon match barrel on an Aero build and curious if anyone has loaded with Staball 6.5 in a similar configuration. I know H4350 is a go to powder for 6.5 but I'm looking for a good ball powder to use for loading on an XL750 with the dillon powder throw.

It shoots well with Hornady Match 140gn ELD-M and an unknown ball powder.

I worked up some loads with BLC2, CFE223 and TAC using GRT. 37gn of CFE223 was ok but I still get some extractor marks on the brass. Feels like the pressure rise is still too fast. Staball 6.5 looks really slow so I haven't tried it yet.

I know H4350 is a go to powder but it doesn't measure well with the powder throw.

Other powder suggestions would also be appreciated.

Rifle Scopes Tips to "Safely" Reset NightForce Zero Stop?

Morning! A few weeks ago I shot a match, and had a ~0.2-0.3 shift in my zero when I verified it at the start of the match. I corrected it, and went to reset my zero stop prior to the start of the first stage.

I gave 0 thought to holding that turret still, and when I turned the first screw to back it out I spun the dial and completely lost my zero. Hindsight is 20-20, and holding my thumb on it as I loosened the screws is a quick and easy fix solution. However the damage was done and I had to completely re-zero the elevation.

I was curious - are there any redundancies or tricks you use to protect against this, or to more quickly recover in an instance this happens?

Rangefinders with Ballistics Built In

I’m toying with the idea of rangefinding binos, and whether the versions with built-in ballistic calculators are worth having. I’m thinking they are not, based on a conversation I just had with Sig Sauer. Per the rep:

1. You can enter field-verified dope info into the app, which would adjust the calculations to be more accurate. So if the binos tell you to adjust 4 mils at 500 yards, but when you shoot its hitting 8 inches high, you can enter that info in the app, and it’ll adjust.
2. The caveat is that all it does is adjust your velocity. You cannot enter your actual field-tested dope into the app (as in, tell it what your actual adjustments should be)
3. The program has a “1 moa tolerance” so the app may not update anything if the data you enter doesn’t change the trajectory more than 1 moa.

Based on this, I don’t see a point in having a dope software built into the binos. A piece of paper taped to the stock with actual filed-verified dope is going to be much more accurate than a calculated dope that I can’t override. Using the onboard ballistics calculations would be just like trusting a ballistics chart you print offline without doing any field verification.

Have others had different real-world experiences?

WHY????? Mag feed vs. Hand feed

I've been shooting AR's for 30 years, have built a ton of them. My target AR15 (223) shoots 3/8", 100 yard groups pretty easily and consistently from the magazine.
Built another AR10 308 with top tier products... because I'm pigheaded and won't give up.
Matched AERO upper and lower
Nightforce ATACR 7-35 F1 Mil C
ARC M Brace mount
Midwest industries FF handguard
SLR adjustable gas block, 9 oz. buffer
Triggertech Diamond trigger
Craddock Precision custom Bartlien heavy 18" barrel
Rubber City Armory bolt carrier with JP high pressure bolt headspaced to the barrel.
Handloading using Sierra, Berger 168, 169 and 175 hpbt, Lapua brass, etc. etc.
Probably pounded 5-6 hundred dollars of components into the berm......
All Magazine fed...because that's how it's supposed to shoot.
Every group always looks like the one on the LEFT.....
TODAY out of frustration I had 5 rounds left exactly like the ones in the left target......and for some unknown reason I decided to single feed them. I pushed a round into the chamber and dropped the bolt release for each one.
Single feed is on the right!!!!!! WTF. Seriously. 0.142" 5 shot group.
Why the difference? Is it a result of the violent forces of the BCG slamming back and forth? Sort of depressing since it's a semi auto......
What is happening during the BCG cycling process that's introducing so much inaccuracy?

Firefly bolt

Does anyone have experience with the Volquartsen Firefly bolt? I had one installed on my Ruger 22 charger and it worked well for a while. Lately it’s failing to feed with subsonic ammo. I thought it was designed to cycle subsonics reliably. 1 or 2 rounds and jams. Accuracy is unaffected. Even after a deep cleaning it still jams. It will cycle regular ammo. Thanks for any input, help and opinions.

SOLD Leica Geovid Pro AB+ 10x42 (1mth Old)

I have a brand new (1mth old) set of Leica GeoVid Pros with Applied Ballistics Elite. These are a really sweet set of Range Finding Binos. I purchased them to use in PRS and love them other than the fact they do not have a reticle to measure targets with. For that reason, I am switching to a different brand. This is your gain and my loss. These are flawless, So I am willing to come off of the retail price i paid for them, but not going to give them away. These will make a great set of binos for hunting. You can see your target animal, range it, and it will automatically put your elevation and windage on the screen inside the binos. If you want to range an animal and be ready to shoot in seconds, these will work perfect for you. It even has WEZ analytics to tell you if its a good shoot.

Sale Price: $3,000.00 with basic shipping

Retail Price: $3,750.00 after tax

West TX new guy

After a miss on a hunt about a year ago I decided I needed to sharpen up on my shooting skills. Granted it was a good distance but I realized I wasn’t as good as I thought I was.
That lead me to Rokslide which then led to NRL hunter that then led to me learning about PRS
So here I am. The rabbit hole of firearms has got me.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not brand new to guns but the last 10 years of work and kids haven’t allowed much time for shooting but I’m really enjoying getting back into it.

Assembly was basic and straight forward. make sure to think ahead on what and how you'd like to assemble the RD15 Builders kit.

Both the Barrel and Handguard are mandatory thermofit's, just remember that when you Torque the Barrel Nut down it will expand the Handguard Mounting Area of the Upper receiver requiring heat to expand the handguard for proper installation.
