I did a search but couldn't find a good answer. I have a carbon fiber barrel B14r in a Mcmillan HTG with a Hawkins Precision M5 bottom metal and have the common feeding issue with the mag catch being too short to lock the mag in tight. Is there a simple solution that doesn't involve any modification to the mag? I have another B14r in an MDT chassis that works flawless, and I'd rather not have a set of mags for each rifle. I see that Hawkins has a bedding block but I'm not familiar with it and I really don't want to go through the expense of having it milled in if it's not going to fix the problem.

Im looking to upgrade from my Vortex Fury to a vectronix or sig kilo gen II.

Does anyone have first hand experience with both? Which would you recommend?
