Steelwater Gun Safes A+

I just wanted to share a positive experience about Steelwater Gun Safes. I’ve had one for several years. It has very nice LED lighting, one bar on the side panel on each side, and they come on when you open the door. Recently, they stopped working properly, blinking weakly. I went on their website and submitted a customer service request stating my issue. I kid you not, like 5 minutes later I get an email from Keith apologizing for the problem and describing how to troubleshoot, and asking for my mailing address. I followed the steps, which were simple, and reported back. Next thing I know he responded letting me know the part(s) are on the way along with instructions to install. I’m very pleased.

Suppressors ECCO Machine and AAC 762SD

I’m hoping some of you with some ECCO machine experience can help me out here. I have an AAC 762-SD with the 51T mount. It was my first rifle can and for its day it was a fine suppressor, but ever since I got my SiCo Omega it’s basically just been sitting in the safe. I recently changed barrels on my AI AE and decided to put the 762-SD on and try it out again. My results were less than stellar. Even after fitting the mount to the suppressor, my groups are noticeably larger with the cannon than without. For example, today when I went to the range I was seeing 1.11 minute groups with the can vs .78 minute groups without. To confirm this wasn’t a one off or a barrel specific issue, I also tried it on my 6.5CM AI and my groups were similarly larger after putting the can on.

My theory is that the main issue is in the mount. I just don’t think there’s any way to make the 51T mount as precise and repeatable as newer mounting systems, even after fitting. To solve this and not have to buy a new suppressor, I am considering having Ecco machine swap the factory 51T interface for the universal 1.375-24 interface. I believe* that would allow me to use an ASR mount as well as the direct thread mount that came with my Omega, which is currently gathering dust in its box. Before I commit to this though, I’d like to get some information and advice from those of who’ve already walked this path. My main questions are thus -

1: Am I correct in assuming that the most likely issue with my accuracy is the mount and not the actual suppressor itself? Have those of you who’ve gone this route with a 762-SD or similar AAC can seen appreciable increases in accuracy and precision after going to an ASR (or similar, modern QD system) or direct thread mount, or is the actual suppressor and it’s design at issue here?

2: Am I correct in assuming that my SiCo Omega direct thread adapter will work with an AAC can that’s been converted to the 1.375-24 interface?

3: since I’d like to keep this suppressor QD compatible, is the ASR mount an acceptable way to go for a precision rifle can?

4: For those of you who have done this or something similar, what were your general thoughts on the experience and results? Anyone other than Ecco worth looking at?

I’d love to hear feedback on any part of my diagnosis or my plan. I’d aLao appreciate any info on other’s experiences who have tried this or something similar in the past. I should also add; I am aware that there is an upgrade program through AAC that would basically turn this thing into a Ranger 7, however it’s much more expensive and I really, really like the tone and look of the old school AAC cans, especially on an AI rifle. I’d like to keep that style and tone if possible. Thank you all in advance!

Firearms Remington M24/40XB, 10x Leupold package

I picked this rifle up on trade from another member and I absolutely love it. The gun ADD kicked in, though. I put just over a box through it, and it appears to have been shot very little prior to me shooting it (the paint around the crown was barely chipped). It shoots 175gr FGMM extremely well and that is all I have tried in it so far.

I'm sure some other members who are more familiar with these rifles can chime in about their history, but I gathered that it is the predecessor to the M24 SWS that had the adjustable stock. I called it the A1 just because it was the most I could find with a little Google searching, but I could be wrong. This has the more rare "B" suffix serial number and the barrel is marked 7.62x51 for the chambering. The trigger is absolutely amazing in here as well.

The rifle is topped with a Leupold Ultra 10X-M1A with the Premier Reticle crosshairs. It also includes the original factory paperwork for this rifle which is pretty cool. This would be an awesome gun for someone who is into collecting things more than I am.

$4,500 shipped for the package. I would trade it toward an AI AX (2014 style), AI AXMC, or AI AXSR. For the long actions I would prefer 300NM or 338NM but I can always swap barrels. Other than that I am pretty set on trades but always open to high end optics in FFP and Mil/Mil.

Every Democrat supports Transvestiites over women....

Yup, every Democrat Senator voted against the women and girls in America.

By saying that fucking mentally-ill, cock-gobbling, attention-seeking trannies should destroy women's sports.

Every. Single. One.

I'd ask 'Who is pulling their strings." Because it seems strange that there are so many so-called educated Americans who represent some 80 percent of the American People who think Womens sports should be for... say... women.

But I don't think I have to ask that question. Because the left is now so retarded that they believe more in transvestites than they do in letting the wives, sisters and daughters of America compete in sports, without having to have some failed dude who likes to suck dicks... compete against them.

So they are ALL completely idiotic. OR they are being paid off by a tiny majority of freaks to dance to the tune of rump rangers and sperm-burpers.

BC Method of Doping Wind - Brackets?

I'm reading Frank Galli's book where in it's described using the first number of your bullets BC to determine the MPH of your rifle. The example, a 308 using a bullet with a BC of 485 to 496 is a "4 MPH rifle". One may then work in multiples of 4 mph (and not the traditional/usual 10 mph) to dope wind. I get this.

But I got confused when in a later it is said "I just need to know my brackets then do simple addition in my head." The example at 600 yards, with a 4 mph wind is the first bracket, so that means a .6 Mil hold. Makes sense to me. But it goes on to say "If the wind is 12 mph, I am in bracket 2, so the wind hold is 1.2 Mils." While 2 x .6 Mil = 1.2 Mils, I don't get 12 mph being in bracket 2. If I have a 4 mph rifle wouldn't a 12 mph wind put me in bracket 3 (12/4 = 3) ? And that's followed by an example 18 mph wind being bracket 3 with a 1.8 Mil hold (3 x .6 = 1.8). Again, I get how I get to 1.8 but if I'm using a 4 mph multiple wouldn't 18 mph put me in bracket 4 (18/4 = 4 and change).

The last example provided describes engaging an 8 mph wind with a 308 rifle at a 400 yard target and the WTF suggested dial of .8 Mils for the first shot. 400 = .4 Mils so using a 4 MPH rifle I'd need 8/4 = 2 giving me 2 x .4 Mils = .8 Mils. Is an 8 mph wind putting me in bracket 2?

I'm working with a 308/4 MPH rifle but not understanding brackets, or at least the size of brackets. If an 8 mph wind gets me bracket 2, how does a 12 mph wind get me bracket 2? And an 18 mph wind get me bracket 3?

Thanks in advance for helping this total newb!

Firearms FS/FT Remington 700in7 RUM with 26"barrel

I bought this rifle from a Remington collector and tld it was unfired, which appears to be the case as I can find no trace of carbon. It did have anel cheapo mount attached and there is just a bit of residue where I removed it. These older Remy actions are excellent and I intended to use it to build a 7 PRC but decided to go another way. $1025 to your FFL, if it needs to be shipped from my FFL $25 extra. Open to reasonable offers and trades. Black case IS NOT included

insane and escalating pushback

how is it,what law, what established rules let these judges and boards enable them to force the pres to spend money, hire or rehire useless bureaucrats? obvious for years that things are way out of control of the people and those they choose to manage the country.
i was hoping that Trump's election would negate the use of brute force that the left and deep state used on us since prior to and escalated during covid. looks like that was a empty thought. sad,but true "violence is the only thing that ever settles anything". once again the rule of law seems to be failing to repair >100 years of damage.
where is there to turn when all you want to do is be left alone and not subjected to perversion, theft, threats, malignant control of the state and it's abuses?

Smoke composites! A+

I just want to say that I had an excellent ordering experience with smoke composites.

I was having issues finding a handguard for a JP rifles barrel and gas system, so I wrote them an email to discuss fitment. I sent them links from JP with the dimensions of my components and they actually took the time to review the specs and discuss my options.

They got me all set and I just sent the money to them today. The whole process was smooth and I am super excited to work with them again in the future.
