I'm relatively new to the A&D world. I bought this FX-300i back in the fall. it has been an amazing scale and I have throughly enjoyed using it!

I have only one question: the power button on my unit is much "softer" than the other buttons on the scale. To the point where it is a little tricky to turn the scale on and off, while the other buttons are very tactile and pleasant to use.

Ready for competition Vudoo V22s single shot, just add your scope and tuner of choice. This vudoo has a Mullerworks 8 grove barrel. This barrel was selected from batch of barrels that where air gauged and slugged. This barrel tested the best and was cut with a Winchester 52 chamber. This barrel is very ammo tolerate. It shoots Eley and Lapua ammo very well. I have won matches with both Eley and Lapua ammo. The trigger is a Bix and Andy, and the stock is from Randy Owens with a custom butt plate. This rifle will also come with a second barrel, it’s a Shilen Select Match Ratchet 4 grove cut by David Lott at Di Precision in Texas. I will include a bore guide, additional springs that the rifle came with an action wrench and Lowey bolt protector. I wanted something different, something to fill a niche, but did I go too short?
I cut my heavy profile Ruger American Hunter barrel down to 14.5" and pin and welded a Wardin Surefire blast diffuser.
I wanted to build a tactical "Urban Sniper".
The heavy barrel allows for multiple follow up shots, the blast diffuser keeps the concussion forward and dust signature down, and the shorter length was to make it more handy and also more rigid..
But, then I see that most police Snipers use a 24" barrel.... from my understanding, police snipers would rarely setup for a shot past 300 yards, so why do they need all that barrel?
With my 168gr Hornady ELD-M handloads, I'm getting just over 2500 fps at the muzzle with 45.3gr of Varget..... single digit SD's... (over max- don't copy or be careful!)
At 600 yards, it's still tracking at 1550 fps (dialing 5 mils elevation).
Is that too much drop at 600 yards? (Approx 9')
Does 1550 fps seem like enough velocity to still be effective up to 600 yards? Energy at 600 yards is calculated at 980 ft-lbs....
At the 600 yard range/ windy conditions, I was getting sub MOA. At 300 yards, before the wind picked up, I managed .4 MOA....
At the 100 yard range, it's always sub MOA, a few times I got 1/2 MOA... 1/2 MOA takes a lot of patience, concentration and calmness between shots .... sub MOA comes rather easily....

I can’t justify anymore firearms so it’s time to move on. I much prefer LR /prone shooting and really have no interest in helmet mounted NV. I wanted a device that could AT LEAST stand up to 338 Lapua, but 50BMG is preferred. I really liked the E3 Harris CNVD LR, but it’s only rated to 308. I found that the Eotech ClipNV LR is not only good to 20x mag, but also 50 cal rated. Anyone know of a better (maybe even better priced unit) or a reason I should not go with this unit? Price is not a huge concern. This is a buy once cry once purchase. Also I would like to be able to shoot as far as possible. Would adding a MAWL extend its range? This will see use primarily on my MRAD, Barrett M82, and 18” 6.5 Grendel. It will be a couple months (at least I’m trying to wait at least that long) before I purchase this to gather as much info as possible. I appreciate any insight!
