Hey dudes, we've all seen a million muzzle brakes on hunting rifles. I'm just curious if anyone runs an AR style compensator instead? I've never tried it but I have them on some ARs. I was just thinking for a round where you don't really need the recoil reduction so much, wouldn't a compensator be a better choice? Then you could put its effort, less towards recoil reduction and more towards keeping the muzzle down which would help you spot more shots in the scope. Anybody do this?

what is everyone’s stock/chassis of choice for a 33XC when trying to make light gun requirements? Currently running just a basic MPA ba comp but wanting to make a change once this barrel craps out. Already got my new blank from K&P which is a 34” 1.35 to 1.10 taper. My rifle right now is currently sitting at 25.5lbs but really wanting to move to a stock or a chassis set up that has a similar feel to a stock when behind it.

While I thought it looks cool, if I end up keeping the rifle, I actually prefer the all black look and functionality of the OE extended rail. The G28 rail includes 3 rail sections, the rail and mounting hardware. The rail has light wear and a couple scuffs as I am not the original owner, and I modified the right side to access the HK 417 adjustable gas block (enlarged one of the openings slightly).

This is an AT-style AICS for short action rifles with Remington 700 footprint. Condition excellent. It has been previous bedded and I carefully removed bedding material. Surface anodizing color was partially scratched off but the recoil lug contract area is not affected. It's purely cosmetic.
