Outstanding customer service from Manners Stocks

I ordered a Manners stock from a vendor, and it arrived with some damage to the front end. The shipping box was in pristine shape and to my untrained eye it looked like it may have left the factory that way, so I pinged Tom here via PM with some pics and just let him know he had one that may have slipped by QC and that I would work with the vendor to get it returned.

Tom called me on Friday evening after looking at the pics, while prepping for a show in Atlanta and the blizzard this past week bearing down on KC. He walked me through why he thought it probably was shipping damage, perhaps on the way to the vendor, and refused to let me go through the somewhat slow process of working a vendor return. He pulled the same stock they had ready to go up in their online store and had it UPS'd to me this week, with a label to return the damaged stock directly to him.

Thank you @tmanners for the excellent customer service, and taking the time to work a customer problem that wasn't necessarily on you to handle.

SRP vs LRP

In my area, primers seem to be in stock pretty regularly, giving me options, which has me thinking what are the best primers for my application.

As of right now I'm only reloading 6.5 Creedmoor in preparation for local PRS and NRL Hunter competitions. Right now I'm using Hornady brass (from factory match ammo) with Federal Gold Match LRP. Is SRP better for my application? I see mostly SRP for competitive shooters, but is that a result of the shortages the past few years and that's all they had available?

Second question, I can get Remington Benchrest primers pretty cheap here, are they good primers? I've used CCI and Federal Match, haven't really noticed a difference, does anyone have some data on the Remington primers?

Optics Choice Help

Hey guys, I need some help choosing an optics for my rifle. I know these come up very often, but my I have not seen my choices together.
Rifle is a 6.5 Creedmoor. I will be using the rifle for LR classes. Hopefully classes to get out to 1000. Right now I have a Athlon Cronus BTR G2 4.5-29X56. Quite heavy.
Choices are:
1. Zeiss V4 6-24X50 with ZBi-68 Reticle.
2. Nightforce SHV 5-20X56 C535 MOAR.
3. Leupold Mark 4 6-24X52 PR3 MIL (But keep hearing a lot of stories about the turrets being totally off)
4. Any other suggestions?

Would likes:
Weight below 24ounces.
Illuminated reticle (Not deal breaker)
Locking turrets (Not deal breaker)

Or should I just keep the Cronus?

Dynamic Stability

I posted this in another thread in response to @Frank Green , but it was entirely tangential to the topic... @Ledzep @Bryan Litz Ballistics perhaps y'all have some insight as well.

When you see a pitched bullet & the counter pitching force is sufficient to correct after exiting from the bore, does this correct without any angular deviation to the flight path?

E.g., assume a bullet is seated measurably eccentric and is fired, engraving eccentrically. It will obviously initially spiral after exiting the bore. Assuming dynamic stability is achieved, will the projectile's subsequent flight path have discernible angular difference in flight from a projectile that exited the bore perfectly with no pitching? Is the axis or locus of correction the center of mass? I'm guessing no, due to air resistance.

Hopefully that made sense. I'm guessing there are too many factors for a simple answer, like bullet shape, length, weight, speed of rotation, velocity, degree of wobble, etc.

Package Price for everything: $2,000 or reasonable best offer

Package includes the following:
  • Bergara HMR Pro 300 Win Mag rifle with 26" barrel ($1,600 retail). Purchased a year ago. Have ~250 rounds through it from sighting in and an NRL match. Excellent condition other than a scratch on the barrel, shown in pictures below.

Rifle Scopes Expected elevation adjustment range for Nightforce NX8 4-32 on Seekins PH2

I have a NF NX8 4-32 mounted on a Seekins Havak PH2 with 20MOA base. The NX8 advertises 90 MOA vertical range. After sighting in at 100 yds I have 57 MOA vertical adjustment left. I expected 65 (45 +20). Would you expect to get 65? NF said they will check out the scope as I only dialed down 13 MOA to get sighted in. I have asked Seekins if their receiver base was parallel to the bore. I’m sure it is but that would explain not having to dial down 20 MOA if it wasn’t. My 100 yd sight-in is about 3” above the bore so that’s 3 MOA at 100 yds. I have never had a canted scope base before and just didn’t know what to expect. If I put the POI back to the bore centerline (dial down another 3 MOA) that would result in 60MOA up travel. Maybe that’s close enough?

Weird Accuracy Issues with AR Build

I have a rifle I put together a little while ago and it's been shooting really weird. It's a bcm upper, green mountain barrel, KAC URX handguard, set screw gas block, microbest bcg, lower is Palmetto with a larue trigger and lmt sopmod. It has weird fliers that I can't account for and it doesn't seem to hold zero. It doesn't shoot to point of aim consistently.

Things I've tried:

Rebarreled
Took it all apart, put it back together, different barrel nut torque (fiddled with upper receivers and found one to thermo fit, didn't help)
Factory ammo to eliminate handloads
Two different scopes, irons
Less oomph on gas block set screws
No muzzle device
Lead sled didn't help

Now here's the weirdest part, I shot it single fed no magazine and it grouped well vertically BUT it had a horizontal stringing of about 2moa

So I'm pretty much stumped, I've built probably 40 ARs and this one seems to be possessed or something
