I've been shooting a .22LR for a while now and have been enjoying the hell out of the thing. It is a great trainer for my centerfire rifle and has taught me a lot. It tends to exaggerate problem with fundamentals and that has helped me tremendously.

I'm a bit flummoxed at this point though. I feel quite confident with this thing out to 350 yards from prone and I've done some work with a tripod and have done fairly well out to 250 on steel. Yesterday, I decided to check myself on paper and was irritated with what I saw.

At 50 yards, my group from prone was centered perfectly on the target. My groups from standing, kneeling and sitting were between .2 to .4 mils low. Group size was only slightly bigger than prone but the center of the groups were all low. There was no side to side dispersion.

Yes, I checked and re-checked the parallax on the scope.

The rifle is a Ruger Precision with a 20" Shaw barrel and I'm using a Vortex Switchback tripod and I'm clipping in.

I haven't done a Kraft drill with it, but if I did, you'd see 3 holes obliterating the center and then you'd see vertical training with the lowest shot probably .5 low.

I'm open to suggestions.

Hello first time poster here so I'm sorry if there has already been discussion on this. I'm selling a tikka t3 lite ss in 308 and using the money for something a little more comfortable to shoot at the range while still being able to hunt with it on seldom occasions(if invited by a friend or get an urge to put in for the draw again).
The tikka is great but it was so light that it didn't make sense when trying to shoot longer distances at the range and anything past a box of shells was not that fun. I thought of building it to something more appropriate but don't have the extra 1k minimum for stock and barrel but instead would buy something that could get me close.
I was thinking of getting the bergara hmr in 308 seeing as I have tons of 308 and don't want to invest in a new caliber. The only real feature it doesn't have that I'm hoping for is a floorplate. (Yes I know, horribly weird in this day and age). Does anyone know if the other bergara floorplates could be made to fit the mini chassis it comes with? Should I consider the sierra wilderness instead? If it doesn't show I'm kinda looking for a one stop shop gun. I know I'm asking a bit much

Hey guys, I've decided to buy a GPO 2.5-15x50. now I'm trying to figure out what Mount to buy for it. I've never ran something with a 50 mm objective on a AR style rifle. I'm finding all sorts of contradictory info on the internet.

Can I run a normal 1.5ish height cantilever mount with this objective size?

Is there any shootability or packaging reason that l might not want this big objective on this style rifle that I might not realize?

I ask that because l could also be happy with the GPO 3-18x44 if for some reason it made a lot more sense.

It’s not really anything I’d want but neat to see Centurion arms working with it.

Recently got a new 338 norma barrel DT SRSA2 with factory brake. Their brake almost looks identical the the AWC brake, and the threads are the same. Havent fired it yet , because im waiting on dies.

I know the Thor suppressors aren't too popular, but has anyone tried this combo? Any reason not to use the Thor on a Desert Tech brake? It's a pretty good bonus for me, if I don't have to purchase an additional brake for this barrel.
