20” 6.5 PRC vs 24” 6.5 CM

I’m looking at Tikkas and Bergera arreled actions for a new elk/mule deer gun and was wondering if the velocity loss from a 20” PRC compared to a 24” creed would negate the benefits of the PRC. I don’t reload and will probably be using Hornady or Federal factory offerings in both. I have an old Savage 7mm rem mag but finding any decent stock for it seems to be more costly than a new rifle and I want something more shooter friendly.

Replicate Hornady American Gunner 6.5 Creedmoor 140 grain BTHP

In my never ending quest to find the least expensive rifle with excellent accuracy, yesterday I took out my $200 T/C Compass in 6.5 Creedmoor ($200 because I bought it four years ago and am only now paying attention to it). I have a total of less than 100 rounds down the barrel even now.

I shot some Aguila ammo...lousy. And some Norma WhiteTail...not bad at all but a horrible BC made it kinda useless past just a couple hundred yards.

I had some Hornady American Gunner that had been stashed away from a couple of years ago and shot that. With five shot strings I had been getting SD's of 12 and ES of about 33 with my Magnetospeed. Groups at 100 yards were okay...not great.

I took the Magnetospeed off yesterday and shot one seven shot group so that I could preserve the last 42 rounds in case I wanted to use them in a silhouette match this weekend.

Seven rounds inside of an inch. That made me happy.

But there is none of it on the market right now. I called Hornady and they stopped making the bulk 200 rounds in the plastic "ammo can". And hadn't been making the 50 round boxes for awhile. She said that they are producing them right now and they should be hitting the stores in a couple of weeks. Which stores? No clue.

I would rather roll my own anyway. Has anyone played around with duplicating that load? I've got the case and the bullet and the COAL figured out obviously but...anyone have any idea of the powder, charge weight or primer?

360 Precision AR Pistol

I just bought a new AR pistol in .300B from a local dealer.

I was hesitant because I've never heard of these guys, but went for it because everything looked nice, and they are local to me.

Anyone ever hear or have dealings with them? How do they compare in quality with other manufacturers? I don't know much about ARs, I have an AK, and an M14 variant.

I didn't get a spec sheet with it, but the dealer said that they use the same materials for all their products

416R Stainless barrel (8 1/2") edit: likely 1/8 twist
Melonite (?) gas tube
M-16 bolt carrier group
Low profile pistol length gas block

Thanks for any insight you guys might provide

Another noob bolt action question.

So I just took my CZ 600 Range home today, very happy with it so far. And got my Vortex Venom 5-25x56 MRAD scope in today as well. The rifle has an adjustable comb cheek riser. With a 56mm objective lens, how do I know if medium height scope rings will be tall enough? I haven't ordered any yet due to wondering about this. I assume if I mount Remington 700 style rings straight to the receiver I'll need taller ones than if I mount a picatinny rail rail, and then the scope to the rail as that will lift the scope higher and give more clearance for the bell/objective to clear.

Just wanted to check before I ordered if there's a way to measure things out (I have calipers) or if there's some general rule of thumb? I know I don't want the thing way up in the air higher than need be. (I probably will put it on a rail)

Optics 35MM vortex rings

I have 2 sets of 35MM rings for sale both vortex branded the black ones are aluminum marked 9115 I’d say high rings they have scuff marks. $80 for black ones.
the tan are steel I’d say low height in great shape $100 for the tan set shipped in the lower 48
PayPal ff or add fees

Firearms SOLD - WTS: FN SCAR 17

For sale is a FN SCAR 17 in the significantly more accurate FDE color.

Purchased in 2012 with the reciprocating charging handle. I am the original owner. Less than 200rnds fired, zero upgrades, and never had an optic mounted. I couldn't find a consistent use for this rifle, and after 12 years of sitting in the safe, it's time to move on to another project. Rifle has marks and light blemishes consistent with handling.

Rifle is priced at $2,700, with four magazines included. I have additional magazines for sale at the buyers option. I will not sell any magazines separate from the rifle at this time. Buyer to pay shipping / insurance. Venmo preferred as payment, and all other methods will completely clear my bank before shipping, e.g., cashiers check, MO, etc. Rifle will ship FFL to FFL, or FTF within upstate SC upon presentation of a valid SC CWP.

I have sold similar items on the hide, and am happy to provide references and additional pictures to verify legitimacy. I only check this account in the evenings, but intent is to respond to all messages within 24hrs.

Willing to trade only for a new HK SP5K.

Unavailable Lefty Vudoo 360 - What to do now

I get that I'm in the minority here, but I just learned that Vudoo stopped making left-handed 360s because it wasn't cost-effective, which makes total sense. Now I need to switch things up. I've got a B14R right now, and I could just stick with it, or maybe I should consider getting a RimX or even grab another B14R and customize the barrel. What a bummer.
