This is my first true low backpressure can, and I have to say that I’m very impressed. Backpressure is non-existent, sound is great, and it’s in another league compared to other lower backpressure cans that I have, like the Recce 5K and Anechoic.

Which if any do you have, and what do you think?

Hi all -

I was looking at my bolt the other day and I noticed it looked like one of the the springs was broken. I took the bolt apart and found the spring wasn't broken, but the firing pin washer appears to be a split washer, or it is broken. I can't find online pics of the savage washer, in high enough resolution to determine if the washer is supposed to have a split in it, or if mine is broken. Can someone help with this information?

Looks like this 3 piece spring system was a recent change for Savage, to fix issues with their single spring version.

I`m outside the U.S and cant seem to find a M40A5 muzzle brake for a clone build, anyone have a drawing they can let me have so I can get one made up?

For sale is a lightly used Gen 1 (OG) SWFA 3-15x42mm Gen 1 FFP with Mil-Quad reticle. This got moved around between a couple 22LR rifles over the past few years and so it has mostly some light signs of safe wear - specifically a bit of finish marks on the corners of the knobs. Ran into something odd a few days ago with some new Alpha 6.5cm brass. Grabbed some virgin cases to start loading for a new gun, and wasn't happy with the .262 expander ball in my Forster sizing die; I could feel not a whole lot of resistance (there was some, but not what I was wanting) when seating the bullets in my inline die/arbor press combination. (I'm using the K&M press that has a short arm).
So I took the expander stem out of the die, chucked it up in my drill and polished on it a little to get it to .260 for a little more neck tension. Seated a few more rounds and NOTHING. ZERO difference in seating feel. How??
I was soo shocked I sized a case with NO expander ball in it, and seated a bullet in it after doing that and there was same neck tension, which is very little. I am so confused I have no idea what is going on. Could this be because the cases are brand new? Could it be bad brass? I'm guessing a lot of springback? Why dont my already loaded rounds from 2 weeks ago have this? When I try to pull a bullet out of my previously loaded cases it's really hard, and now all of a sudden they pull out really easy. I measured the od of these new bullets and they're the same as the old ones I loaded a while ago. Why I'm so confused is because this is a new anomaly for me. I've been loading rounds like this for a year now, and when I move to progressively smaller expander balls the amount of force needed to seat the bullets goes up. And now, all of a sudden out of nowhere, nothing I do changes the super light neck tension I have now. Nothing I do changes the super easy seating force I now have when seating... I have four Forster dies in 6.5 creedmoor and theyre all the same.
Have any of you experienced this?

I didn't see a reloading thread here, and while I may have missed it because of not using the right terms in the search to find it, I figured I would start one as a placeholder. I ordered a barrel from PVA for my Desert Tech during their July 4th sale, so as soon as it comes in, I'll be posting all my load development here. I have ADG brass, 180 ELDM, and a few different powders to try: Reloder 23, Reloder 26, H4831SC, and H1000. If anyone else has loads for the 7/300, let's see them! I'm anticipating 3100+ fps with the 180 ELDMs and 3200+ with RL26

I have decided to try the Vector-x binos so selling my Revic BR4 rangefinder. Purchased from Optics Planet in March of 2022, used it for a few hunts and to the range a few times, then promptly deployed overseas in 2023-2024. In short, not much use. It has been updated to latest firmware and everything works just as designed. Asking $900 shipped.

I’ve searched and looked on here so I tried to do due diligence if this is posted a lot. I am currently building my house, in the basement I’m doing a vault room with concrete and metal cased concrete for the roof. The room is 12.5 x 10.5. The entrance will be in a hall way the room in the other side will be a movie theatre type. What re cheap effective ways to hide the vault door?
