Speedloaders for Tube Magazine .22 Rifles

I've found another way to waste my time and money, but in a good cause.

I coach 4H CMP Sporter Rifle and when the command "load" is given most kids insert their magazines, then we all wait while the kids with tube-magazine rifles insert their 10 rounds into the tube, one by one. There are commercial speedloaders that help with this process and are usually a lot cheaper to use. I went a different route by making a loader that is a little more expensive to produce but should last forever. I give these away whenever I see a kid with a tube magazine rifle.

Starting with a piece of empty .308 brass (or basically any 30 cal brass), cut it in half. Glue the two pieces onto both ends of a length of 5/16 or 3/8 tubing after first placing a rolled up foam earplug into the end where the bullet nose rests. I use 11.5 inches of tubing because most .22 rounds are 1" long, and after 1" is deducted for the earplug and 1/4" is deducted for the hitch pin there is roughly 10" of space remaining for 10 rounds. For the tubing I've used arrow shafts, copper plumbing pipe, clear hard plastic drinking straws, aluminum tubing from an old antenna, and a disassembled indoor clothes drying rack. I use a hacksaw to cut the brass and the tubing, a drill to drill a hole for the hairpin clip, and a wire wheel on a grinder to polish the brass.

The shooter first loads 10 rounds into the speedloader, nose first, and sets aside. When loading the rifle's inner magazine tube is removed completely from the rifle. While holding the rifle muzzle up the speedloader is inserted and the hairpin clip removed. Rounds slide into the tube by gravity. The inner magazine tube is reinserted and locked in place. Done.

Night Vision Eotech clipir mk2 elr vs VoodooM

Picked up an eotech mk2 elr recently and just wondering how it compares to a voodooM for the guys that have both or been around both. I’m finding out I’m a BAE core type of guy and while I do like the eotech unit I’m just wondering if I’m missing out not owning a M? I debated between these two before picking up the eotech and my main driver for going with the eotech was the larger germanium objective. I hunt open plains with no trees so identifying coyotes at 800+ is a big deal. Price of the voodoo was also a factor LOL

M40 Raffle fundraiser for Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation memorial!

The Marine Scout Sniper Heritage Foundation is having a fundraiser to help build an epic memorial that will honor our fallen US Marine Scout Snipers and their families for their unwavering devotion.

_scout_sniper_memorial_birds_eye_architectural_view__1.jpg

The memorial will feature two Marine snipers that served 105 years apart. Details of the planned memorial can be seen here: https://scoutsniperheritage.org/memorial/

The fundraiser is centered around the raffle of a period correct clone rifle and scope that duplicates the original and iconic M40 sniper rifle.
The components for this project were almost impossible to get and the rifle is being built by an actual MOS 2112 Precision Weapons Technician.

You can see details of the rifle package as well as purchase raffle tickets for your chance to win here: https://scoutsniperheritage.org/sco...pI_0d9eA5KJcT5hl1w_aem_sABOiLapCM6fzgvzHQr6_w

All proceeds are going to this very worthy memorial.

SOLD iRay Hybrid 75

Love this thing and it kills me to list it right now, but need to recover funds post company layoff. (Personally I'd go hungry before selling this, but the 7 month old has gotta eat). Bought it as a dealer unit around May this year, so still has most of the warranty left.

Absolute powerhouse of a unit, have killed a load of yotes with this baby. Pictures show no mount on it, but it'll come with everything as if it was brand new. Default iRay mount, 2 batteries, LRF unit, battery charger, case, etc. Just ask and I can send pictures of the other stuff and video through the unit.

$6100 $5500 shipped/insured OBO, needs to go ASAP.
