I just got this action today. I put the bolt in to the action and did some back and forth test. When I tried to take the bolt out of the action, I noticed that I cant press down the bolt release button since there's a spring blocking it. Is this normal or is this some kind of malfunction?

I think I like this new scope as much as some of tmy other scopes for .22 shooting.
It is a Meopta 4 x 20 x50 BDC reticle. The clicks and repeatablity are super. It is advertised
as a hunting scope, but I like it overall for rimfire targets. Your mileage may vary.

I got a big heavy rock river lar-8 308. I think I'll do a DMR style setup to shoot longer ranges with my buddy. I'm thinking of what to do with the scope on this thing. I like the idea of a 5-25 but they get pretty darn heavy. It's already a tank of a gun so maybe who cares? I also like a 4-20. Pretty close in power but about 12 oz lighter. Both prob also need an offset Red dot so more weight but lots of capability. A 3-18 is lighter still and wouldn't need a red dot but l feel like I'd be wanting more magnification at some point. Not sure but a 3-18 seems maybe a better choice for a 556 vs a 308.

What do you guys think?

Bought 850 rounds to shoot through a High Standard tournament and buckmark. Velocity states 1080 which should at least cycle the slide on the HS which is required to use SV ammo, but won't cycle.
Contacted rws twice with no response.

Have almost grabbed the 15x56 Bushys a couple times but would rather have something in the 10x42/10x50 or 12x50 flavor. I know Athlon has a new 12x50 coming out, but not sure the minimum IPD of 59mm will work for me. Would snap up a Leupold BX-T if I could find some likely. But what other options are out there right now?

I bought a matrix from a friend . I wasn't aware of the brilliant way they designed the cheekpiece removal for cleaning . I cannot find any diagrams or videos on how or where to place said ball and spring . Money pit Arms solution is to buy a $20 cheek riser collar set and then give them another $10 for shipping . Woody at MPA doesn't answer the phone . Ed's in Alaska hunting moose for three weeks . I can run it without them , but I'd just like to know how to make it run "as designed" .
