She tested positive the morning after the meeting. She felt like crap and went to her doc and the rapid antigen test returned POSITIVE.

That evening, about 30 hours after the meeting, I felt like crap. I heavy dosed on Vit D3, Zinc, Selenium and Quercetin. 14 hours later I felt good enough to go to the gym.

SCENARIO 1: I beat the Covid in 14 hours.

SCENARIO 2: I never had the Covid.

Yeah well, end of summer I drove for 3 hours in a truck with the windows rolled up A/C cranking, with my Aunt and Uncle to a rapid test clinic, and they both tested positive. I never got sick, nor had any symptoms, just kept chewing Copenhagen and drinking beer. So, it either isn't nearly as contagious as I've been led to believe, I got it and was asymptomatic, or the beer and chew is more powerful than china virus, I don't know?

I also just went on a work trip with 5 other people and I’m the only that tested negative twice...

Copenhagen snuff and hand sanitizer works!

It comes down to this if you were infected:
1. You will live, or
2. You will die

If you weren’t infected:
1. You will live
2. Then you will die, but probably catch the Wuhan before then anyway.

Not trying to be an ass, but the virus is too widespread now. We all are going to get it at this point.

Had it, passed it...got a sinus infection from the masks working out that was worse. I'm high risk (high BP, Asthma) and it went smoothly, in fact, i kept working out and coughed a ton of nasty stuff up along the way!

Glad your doing well, you'll be ok.

My older daughter came home from college for Thanksgiving, stayed for a couple days, then went back to school. In less than 24 hours after getting back to school she felt ill (fever, nausea, aches, chills, etc) she got tested and is positive. Her roommate started to feel the same (she did not go home for Thanksgiving, just stayed at school) and also tested positive

So they both had it before Thanksgiving, just took that long to show symptoms.

Here is hoping that my family doesn't get it. Both myself and my younger daughter fall into high risk categories.

To wide spread now? It was always going to be wide spread. The point of lock downs was to not overload hospitals. Not to prevent it. It was never going to be prevented without herd immunity, and Democrats refused that method.

Could be fake news ... but... IDK

Article said more people have died in Japan from suicide than the virus...

99% survival rate from the virus.

Just take the best care of yourself physically possible and continue to live your life.

I had a similar situation a week or so ago. In a meeting for 3hrs. They closed the office and sent 90% of the people home. We had a meeting lol. I even had to virtual some people from a hazmat zone. Im fine. I think it largely depends on the person or it’s not as contagious as they say it is. Or, what I actually had last December after taking the kids to Disney World, wasn’t really the flu and I have some antibodies. Who knows. With that said, I’ve known two people in their upper 80’s to test positive for it 3x and literally had no symptoms the entire time under any period they supposedly had it. And these are the people that are supposed to have it the worst. So I don’t know. I’d probably still hang low for a bit, especially if you are around elderly people. But yeah I’m sure your fine.

I caught what I though was Norovirus in March. Severe GI symptoms primarily. After about 10 days my breathing became so bad I tried to go to ER but the triage nurse on the phone told me to call my primary in the morning. Went to bed thinking I was gonna suffocate, woke up in a lake of sweat the next morning and felt like it passed. Anyway, severe asthma symptoms have not improved. Currently taking max doses of three daily asthma drugs, and have started taking a biweekly injectable medication for asthma. Even had to take a couple courses of prednisone in the last 8 months. And all of this to have what feels like the lungs of an 80 year old still. Try to play tag with my five year old and within two minutes of play I’m gasping, coughing, lungs burning, dizzy even.

All that said, I never tested positive for Covid-19 or Covid antibodies. Maybe it’s all a big coincidence. But whatever it is I wouldn’t wish it on anybody. I’m 45 but I’m counting my days man. Probably not too many left.

CDC website. Anything else in anecdotal. Don’t trust it then stick to anecdotal advice...or Jenny Macarthty may have some recommendations

Almost correct. Democrats are still refusing herd immunity. It’s a present tense action.

Feel like you been beat with a bat.
Bad hangover but not vomiting or diarrhea.

Can't F-ing breath.

It's covid.

Some of those tests are like dime store pregnancy tests.
Positive, see doctor, negative see doctor.

Maybe you have a doctor like I had won't see you if you are sick.

Let me repeat that.

Maybe you have a doctor like I had won't see you if you are sick.

I can't for the life of me figure why doctors are put on a pedestal.

Few weeks ago.

Finished a workout, sitting in lunch room with co workers.

Started feeling dizzy, and got the hot/cold sweaty feeling like I was going to puke.

Said fuck it took sick leave and went home.

Hit bed and didn't get out for two days.

Didn't puke, didn't become a melting fudgicle.

Just every time I stood up I was dizzy and got the hot/cold nauseous feeling.

Lots of sick out there.

Luckily we survive all that shit trying to kill us.

CDC came out with a national study this past week that estimated actual infections nationally at 8 to every confirmed positive test.

That means we've got a hair over 100 million people in the US who have had or currently have SARS-CoV-2...about 31% the population.

With current Case Fatality Ratio in the US at 2.05%, an 8:1 ratio would make Infection Fatality Ratio in the US 0.25625%.

Also of note, long-term care facility (ie. nursing home) residents make up less than 1% of the US population, but they + LTC staff make up 6% of all US COVID confirmed positives and fully 39% of US COVID deaths.

Even if you do have it, 99.9% chance you'll survive and it will feel like a head cold. I've had sinus infections that were worse.
That's almost verbatim what my 72 year old mom said who had it a few weeks ago. She wasn't even going to the doc til my dad insisted. She never knew she had it, never wore a mask around dad and he tested negative as well.

I am pretty sure myself and about 30 other people I know and work with survived it last year Jan-Feb. We had abnormally large amounts of sick kids across all the schools during the same time frame. I had one class room of 12-16 preschoolers that was missing 7 one day. Another with 8 missing 5 that week in a school 50 miles away. I talked to many teachers who commented that there were abnormal amounts of sick kids. Way more than a week ago when they sent us all to remote again. Right now, we were seeing one or two per week, with a 3rd being sent home each week because they can't get a temp reading off them less than 100. Then if one goes to the doctor or gets tested the "county health official" quaertines 75 people waiting for test results. Rendering schools unable to operate in person. Basically every school and bus barn has been shut down due to quarantines based on presumed positives at least twice in our area, before we were forced remote with this new "spike." Which isn't even close to the amount of sick kids we were seeing last year in the Jan-Feb time frame.

I am getting my COVID survivor patch snow flake tattooed on my lower back.

My brother in law survived. He spent 5 days in the hospital.
I’m not making fun of the seriousness that can occur at an individual level. I am using sarcasm and humor to point out the illogical fear some have with even the potential to maybe perhaps catch it.

The older lady above who caught it has her shit together and has an independent and fighter’s spirit. Everyone should be like that, but sadly this is not the case. Too many people want to worry about shit instead of pushing through.

Out here where I’m at you lose your sense of smell and taste. And test positive. That’s about it. I spent a few days with a fella from eastern Ks where it seems to effect people much worse only to find out he was positive. Currently fighting it now. High fever and chills so far. Loaded up vitamin d, Tylenol, zinc, and a multivitamin. Couple of weeks ago they switched my HBP meds only to find out it fucked with my heart real bad. Only 33 and have had two ablations done. So I’m fighting that at the same time. Better this morning than I was last night.

I'm wondering if I had it.

One of the guys I work with in close contact got it about three weeks ago. About a week after he quarantined I could not stay warm at work and felt like dog shit for about two days. I got more sleep than normal and after 2 - 3 days felt back to my usual self.

Since I refuse to get tested, I guess we'll never know. No one in my household came down with it so there's that.

You know it's strange, some people get sick as hell, and some don't even know they have/had it. My Aunt and Uncle were sick as hell for two weeks, but eventually kicked it, even thought both of them are in their late '70s, and deal with all your typical age related health problems.

I had a 92 y/o relative that caught it. Not the picture of health but pulled through, never stopped complaining and thats how we figured out how well he was recovering since he was in full isolation at his LTC facility. They gave him nothing but a cot and a chair. No tv and he can’t read because of cataracts so he sat alone for two weeks. That was harder on him than the virus.

Do YOU believe everything the CDC says?
I don’t necessarily believe “everything” anyone says smarty pants. I am educated enough to make my own decisions and have done so. That being said, I agree with their guidance on the matter at hand. And it’s just that, guidance. If you’re turning to an online chat room about guns for medical advice you’re already behind 😉

People have gotten to the point that they are so afraid of dying that they have forgotten to live. And because they have forgotten to live they have lost the value of their freedom. That’s the real issue with this virus.

If you had a shit-ton of kids out of school due to illness, that wasn't Covid - that was the "normal" flu.

I sleep with my fiancé every night and she got the Rona and got sick. I was quarantined for the two weeks per my work and I couldn’t get tested due to not having symptoms (right when the mass hysteria started end of March). After we found out she was positive, I slept on the couch for the two weeks but shit, towards the end I didn’t care and we would go on drives together because we were bored.

She thinks I’m asymptomatic, I think I am as well. But I never got the antibody test so we we don’t truly know. I’m not super concerned at this point. I either get it and I’m fine, I get it and get sick and hospitalized, or I get it and die. It is what it is at this point. I mean hell, our pole smoking governor and first man or whatever got the Rona and they literally wear masks 24/7. So who know at this point. Either he’s a hypocrite (extremely likely as he’s liberal and a politician) or masks don’t do as much as the masses are lead to believe.
