We've now added a color code for all accounts. Orange accounts are new members, Blue are full members, and Green are Supporters. If you get a message about a sale from an orange account, make sure you pay attention before sending any money!

Sad reality is, that is correct. And because they're Federal Bureaucrats, they can't be fired, unless they do something really bad. Just not doing their job isn't a good enough excuse to terminate.
The ones doing this "remote working" is a freaking joke. They do almost nothing, and then the other half of the time they are supposed to be working they do a little less

My company did that shit during 2020/2021, and the office people got to "work" from home for about 8-9 months. But we in the field were "essential" and had to still go in everyday to the job site and put in actual work and hours, without any hazard pay or anything, while interacting with contractors, truckers, etc... Not even a "thank you" for keeping the business making money and projects going.

Then, whenever I wanted a raise, they would always say, "Well...What about all those days you got to sit at home and still got paid, even when it rained..." and my response was always, "Yeah, well, what about those 9 months yall got to sit in your pajamas and never leave your house, and "work" from home..." The conversation usually ended there. 🙄

Six months when the ATF (assholes that they are) touted 90 days. Just watch...as everybody moves to efile from paper, the wait will go up...as it has been since they released the efile for use.
Thats certainly possible. Just note that there are a ton of paper forms still in the pipeline, which wont be cleared up till next jan/feb. So we’ll be waiting at least that long to realize any change.

Agreed the 5 mos is better. I wonder what all they precheck on e-file or if they are just using it as data entry. Experience working with other federal and county government has me believing just data entry. No governmental agencies ever seem to share or talk to one another readily

It's that they aren't working. That's the problem. None of the federal employees are working at all hardly, and that's even relevant to their previous substandard work effort. They are chilling out at home mostly, doing stuff around their houses, ect... then checking email a few times a day. It's a joke. "Remote working"

That’s why they changed other forms so that our information is on the first page so they can be fed into a computer,I believe they came up with a E forms for the same purpose.

5 months is what the wait for suppressors used to be when I bought my first one depending on which processor you had. I think I had Snook if I remember correctly.

Edited to add that was in 2010.

Sounds like they are overselling timeframes by about 70%, habitually. Last summer, paper forms were supposed to be 8mos, but are now 14mos for those submissions. Then Eforms were supposed to be 90 days, but are now 150 days. So just take whatever they tell you and multiply by 1.7 to be in the actual ballpark.

When I bought my first one years ago, it was about 7 months total. I am hoping this one may be a little less but I know I am probably kidding myself.

I am getting ready to purchase another, so that will be 2 in the queue. Only good thing is I already have my original to use while I wait for the others. The wait for the first seemed so long....

My Deadair sandman s was certified Friday. This is my first one. I logged into the eforms page but I see no info. Is there a way that I can go in to check the status?

Funny to see all this remote work hate here, I wouldn't think it'd be all that relevant to the discussion. However I will say that I work better at home and it's nice not to have to sit in traffic and waste hours of my day. Additionally if I get an idea for a design randomly I can then flesh it out whether it's at 10am or 10pm. I am fortunate that my profession allows me to work remotely and I'm glad that I chose the path I did.

Back to the topic, I just got a batch approval from cans I submitted paper form4s for 9/30/21. Approved 7/14/22. Big surprise and I wasn't expecting them until Nov/Dec. I did contact my congress rep around a month ago but that didn't seem to yield much in terms of info. Maybe it's a coincidence that they were approved 2 weeks later maybe not? It's worth the few minutes to send an email though.

You won't see anything on the atf site. The dealer filed it, so they can see it, but you won't be able to. Status check is still limited to calling the atf nfa branch and asking. They won't tell you much besides "we have it, keep waiting"

You and the dealer will get an email when it's approved. Keep an eye on your spam folder, lots of reports of the emails going there instead of normal inbox.

Sounds like I spoke too soon about the crazy-long timeframes being an absolute. Got the call today that my stamps were in hand at the dealer. Paper Form 4 for a Dead Air Mask and two YHM Resonator 2 cans. 310, 298, and 256 days since cashing them.

I called the ATF about 3 weeks ago and spoke to a rather matter-of-fact lady. I was very polite and I asked about how things stood, as I've never been through this process. I then thanked her very much for her time and assistance and told her to have a good day. Sounds like all three stamps were likely issued the next week. When my local shop called today he told me he had some sitting on 17 months.....

Not necessarily... If he did it through Silencer Shop, they he can see it on his account Dashboard, and the current status of it will show up there, as well.

He's already certified. SS won't have anything further than "awaiting atf approval" unless the customer updates them when the can is approved.

And, unless you update your dashboard with your approval date, it will always stay at ‘pending.’

I was told that since you linked your SS account and eForms account, that with the eForms, it will show up as Approved, just like when you get the approval email.

Granted, all my paper forms still say "pending" even though I've had several of them home for almost a year now, and have manually changed the approved on dates.

432 days and I picked up my Dead Air Wolfman. Check cashed 5/18/21 and picked up 7/25/22. Looking to pick up either a 30cal Surefire or 30cal Dead Air Sandman next and a 22 can. Hopefully these eForms go alot quicker than the old legacy forms.

Stick with Dead Air... Get a Sandman-S and a Mask HD. 👍🏼

The sooner you order, the sooner you’ll have it- regardless of the approval process. Yesterday is better than today. Today is better than tomorrow.

For those with an Eform approval, do the emails come during business hours or randomly any time of day? Might save me some time checking my email at night/weekends (probably not though).

Best I can do is 3 weeks from this Thursday when I come back into town to do my 3 week Lasik chec up.

Finally received notice that my dealer has my stamp. 392 days. Single person trust, third can, and by far the longest wait. Crazy

Pretty soon I will be longer on my Efile than on my paper form 4 from 2020.

Single Shot Trust through SilencerShop

Check Cashed: 6/11/2021
Received Stamp: 6/27/2022

Longest one by far for me

Mine is sitting at 168 days. eFile and certified on 2/8/2022. Called and inquire about the status multiple times and tried to be very nice to the lady but I guess I don't sound nice enough :(

Did someone hack your account and add the sentence, “A heart filled with gratitude has no room for resentments,” and you haven’t noticed it‘s there? Or maybe you have other issues… Because you are really devoid of believing or actualizing that sentence (see attached) that goes out with every one of your posts, certainly in this thread.

Have you ever asked yourself is this healthy for you? It seems a couple of pages ago you mentioned you are close to 70. Have you thought of making one final group of can purchases and once approved this is all in your past? Suppressor advances are really incremental now.

In the good book it says, “bitterness is as rottenness to the bones.” Steve Jobs never forgave his dad or reconciled with him and despite being a billionaire his money could not stop his cancer. Maybe look at the book at Amazon called, “Toxic Emotions: A Poison to Your Soul.”

Folks the only way approvals times are going to permanently shorten would be for someone to sue in federal court that ATF must do batch approvals whether one, six or seventeen cans - if they are submitted regardless of how many; then they must all be batch approved at the same time. The second part of the complaint in the suit would be that the background process is a defined set period of time and shall not take longer (e.g. 60 or 90 days) and just like a 4473 if nothing is found in that defined time a proceed must be given.

Ah, I see our resident ATF apologist...maybe employee... is back. Haven't seen @PropWash for a while...I was wondering if he was out shooting people's dogs.

Now, we did discuss my signature tag line once before and I did indeed express to you at that time that it was aspirational as I'm merely human and not a perfect being such as...oh, an ATF agent? Hmm?

And, prop...you never did answer whether you actually work for the ATF or merely have a close family member work for the ATF. Maybe your baby mommy....or maybe just your mommy?

Your excuses for the ATF's abysmal performance are complete and utter rubbish.

With that I'll sign off with this parting sentiment

Baron, you are your own worse enemy. Look at the thread you were involved in where you were shot down once again for being who you are. Anyone who disagrees with you all you want to do is attack, but then they shut you down:

https://www.snipershide.com/shooting/threads/trump-2024-platform-he-has-my-attention….7132840/#post-10348291

I cannot imagine what it was like if you were an Air Force officer, I recall you claimed you were, what it was like to work for you, it had to be shear misery.

You don’t want solutions here or anywhere else you just want to whine and complain. Oh and you‘re so creative with your middle finger gestures. When are you going to grow up little boy? Like I said the last time, it would be a less than week and you would be back bitching again about your never ending fusillade about your hatred of government. And I was right. Why not renounce your citizenship and move to North Korea and rail about how bad it is there and see how that goes for you.

You are not very bright if you cannot figure out I don’t work for the ATF, most people would not advocate suing there employer, but because you cannot figure out the obvious, no I don’t work for the ATF.

Remember to start working on: A heart filled with gratitude has no room for resentments.

Oh and about your tag line of: “A heart filled with gratitude has no room for resentments,“ being aspirational, then you are making no attempt at aspiring! 😂

Generally how long does it take for the stamp to get to the LGS? I just found out my first F4 was approved the 15th. Exactly a year and 3 days after my check was cashed in 2021.
The LGS hasn’t seen it yet and I’m itching to get it.

Generally a good couple weeks (mine was 2-3 I think) but I believe the ATF says to give it up to 45 days
