You make some purchases from Powder Valley and Silencer Shop, and pay your range dues with a check, and make umpteen posts on the Hide, and buy some hunting tags from the state government, and maybe have a state-issued CCW permit, and your vehicle's on who knows how many traffic cameras on the way to gun shows and matches, and your face is on video wandering around at Cabela's, and your phone is constantly ratting out every trip you make to the local gun shop... at this point, who the fuck needs 4473s and the NFA registry to identify gun owners? There's already a half-dozen databases that private companies have put together that will spit out lists of millions of gun owners, and it's all legal because it wasn't built by fed.gov employees.

That's assuming you were able to turn off all the cloud stuff and sync stuff which with some (like apple) isn't really all that possible since your messages go through them anyways before getting to your phone (in most cases).
