Ohhh..... Fuck no!!!The cartridge choice of AI was one of my initial issues.
And no, those ATX's are north of $8400 in AUS buy the time you pay for shipping & any "accessories".
Besides & as I've said, they are no practical, useful advantage over what I have now.
I was thinking exactly the same.... embarrassment! PS i love my ATX.Ohhh..... Fuck no!!!
Never, fucking ever mention, or even suggest you are Australian again!!!
You just keep that fucking shit to yourself.......
As a country, I think we must apologise for Mr Stroker to all.
Sorry
Cheers
Pete
Move along bro… move alongAside from the reactions of the nonuff & the cock gagger, does anyone have anything to actually say?
Spent New years Day out at North East Texas Tactical shooting 6.5CM then switching barrels to 300NM to shoot for the National Stop Human Trafficking Prevention Month fundraiser, for every shooter who hits the mile target this month the range donates $100.00 to the charity. I managed to get the first and only hits of the day. Love using the AXMC to support charities!
Very target rich environment for sure! The mile target is generous on the outer ring, 1moa center plate, 2moa inner ring and 3moa outer ring, problem is there is no impact berm so you better be decent on your wind calls. The previous yard line is at 1500 then nothing till 1760.I wish we had a range on Quantico with steel like NETT.
Easy drive up, come on!I need to make a trip up there!
I pulled up the sat image, looks like a nice lane between the farms out to the mile target. Even with 52,000 acres with 32+ ranges, we have back to back ranges and liberal lateral restrictions. They combine to limit the steel we can put out on the ranges the club has access for use. It's not the Distance X for us, rather, the lateral range limitations. /hurtyourheadoffVery target rich environment for sure! What tripod sling/cover is that?
Random question and I know this will be the place to get the answer..
Why is there not a long action or magnum AT?
I know there was the AW/AWM. Did they just streamline larger chamberings to the AX line only?
Yeah so how comes they didn't do an ATMC and an AXMC?It's called the axmc
Likewise. They do the AICS AT in long action too...Id buy an AT-M if it was made. Not a fan of the mx/AX chassis.
Who shoots for looks? Does it really matter?

Impact? Look above…just get tikkaFirst off, lower your voice. Second, I do. If I cared about, you know, a rifle that feeds, a good trigger, options for stocks/chassis's. I'd get another impact
I just realized that if you had gold mags on both rifles it would look bad ass!
I was thinking just the trigger shoe.I just realized that if you had gold mags on both rifles it would look bad ass!
As cool as that would be, I think AI is more focused on getting those military contracts rather than scratching people's retro itch.
@Huskydriver What mount and Spuhr rail is that RMR on?
Not to be retro at all, I just don't like how the AX settles ontop of obstacles. AT does a better job at that for me. I like how the AX/mc looks a lot, owned one, just not a fan. That harsh transition from that plastic handguard to rail kills it for me in function. If that transition point was more subtle like cadex I'd be very happy. As cool as that would be, I think AI is more focused on getting those military contracts rather than scratching people's retro itch.
AT, AW, and AWM all have the 1.25" wide action. AXMC action is a lot wider and designed around the magnum double stack magazine, and will not work in the AWM chassis.Thumbhole AT MC is literally my dream rifle.
It kind of poses a question, could you mount an AXMC action to an old AWM chassis?
That's a 1.25" wide action in an AX chassis, only takes the single stack mags.I believe the Maverick version is AW action with AXMC chassis.
I am stupid enough to not read carefully. That's a 1.25" wide action in an AX chassis, only takes the single stack mags.
@CoriolisEffect is talking about the double-stack wide AXMC chassis in an AW chassis, basically the opposite of the Maverick.
It's all good! I have looked into it in the past when people asked me to work on an aftermarket chassis for the AXMC. Unfortunately I don't think there is/was a market to support the cost and effort associated with that endeavor, and the MC/ASR is mainly a prone gun anyway so designing a new chassis for the MC wouldn't have the same benefits as the Vision chassis does for the AT/AX short action.I am stupid enough to not read carefully.
I’m gonna have one too so ya may as well get 2 of em@CoriolisEffect, I can set you up with that AT folder when you finally decide to travel down this dark path, haha!
Wtf? Thumb hole on that MC? Aw man! Nice! 1st place..
That would be a BartlienA question for the AI brain-trust here. The barrel is marked “W5949” is this a Wintac Bartlein or a Lothar-Walther, or some other blank?
-Thanks
Anyone running a grey ops mini plate on an AT fore end?
I got to try one briefly after a match, felt more stable but feel like it was pretty far forward due to the magwell. I see they make one with a mag cut but it looks like it would be harder to strap a bag to it and loses the grippy weights of the pro.
Fantastic! Thanks! That would be a Bartlien
