Marathon Petroleum’s Galveston Bay refinery in Texas City, Texas, has a total crude processing capacity of 593,000 barrels per calendar day (bpcd). The refinery can process a wide variety of crude oils into gasoline, distillates, natural gas liquids and petrochemicals, heavy fuel oil, and propane.
The fire broke out in the fluidic catalytic cracker (FCC) which produces gasoline and has a capacity of 140,000 bpd. The fire erupted in the regenerator of the FCC, Reuters’ sources said, adding that there were no injuries reported after the incident.

Oil futures climbed Tuesday, with expectations that output cuts by major producers will lead to a global crude supply shortfall in the fourth quarter prompting prices for the commodity to settle fresh highs for the year.
Traders also awaited further hints on the outlook for global energy demand, with a reading on U.S. inflation and a European central bank decision on interest rates due out this week.

Gas up in Labrador is $6.20-6.50 a gallon. US. Sold in liters. $2.17 a liter was cheapest I saw.

The national average is still down 1 cent from a month ago, but nearly 20 cents higher from this point last year. The national average for a gallon of gasoline is $3.83 per gallon as of Sunday, GasBuddy data shows.
The reason behind the rise is refinery outages in the western United States, but relief may soon be coming for some.
“With the transition back to cheaper winter gasoline now upon us in nearly every state, we should see prices eventually cooling back off. But if refinery issues continue to develop or linger, especially now that we’re entering maintenance season with less available capacity online, the expected decline could certainly be offset. In addition, with oil prices now above $91 for the first time in nearly a year, there remains some offset from the rising price of oil thanks to Saudi Arabia and Russia’s war on low oil prices, now in its third month,” Patrick De Haan, the head of petroleum analysis at GasBuddy said in a blog post on Monday.

The endgame is to charge all vehicles a XX price per mile. It will be high enough that only Billionaires and Politicians can use the road. Then, Politicians will give themselves a law that says they don't have to pay.

oilprice.com Gas here in eastern Washington is around $4.79 regular 87 octane and diesel is $5.39, filled up my diesel truck a week and a half ago and is was $166.00! that was before fuel went up another dime. the tax on all fuel in Wa. is just stupid, with governor inslee's carbon tax it's like the energizer bunny it just keeps going and going and going up, up, up.

I left. Not going to raise a family in WA. Ethanol free 91 octane is 40 cents cheaper in Idaho than regular 10% ethanol 87 octane 5 minutes away in Washington. It’s theft through taxation.
