It is my recollection that a bear pit in the USMC was meant to be a bit rowdy.

We had a bear pit in 1/2 - every Friday, Battalion run dropped off the road into the woods not to appear again for an hour or more.

Remember you have an ignore button, if you don’t like a particular person or account you can always hit ignore

Bender: I understand that the Marines were originally, during the revolution, sailors incapable of performing the duties of a sailor. But a lot has happened in 200+ years you have evolved into the greatest fighting force America has to offer. The experience at Guadalcanal was above and beyond; the stars on many patches representing the southern cross in a fine tribute to that tradition. Unfortunately you have a few shitheads left that have to let off steam in the bear pit. Have fun and a nice day I remain yours with all due respect.

I'm not a newbie but also not an old timer. The hide can be rough. I too have had some very dark times. Be patient and you will find some guys who will listen and have advice. Mosty it is a shitshow. Or a goatfuck. But there are some good people.
