Biggest part of the reason to buy an AI is AI mags man what is you doing??????Just got an XC, what mags do you recommend? Do the MDT ones work well? With or without the plate?

Immediate cease fire usually due to a safety concern. . .What does “black flagged” mean in this context?
So, a great ending to a 4-year search.
This is an active range complex aboard a military base and when Range Control cancels all training due to excessive heat danger this is called a black flag condition.

I already have that bolt. It came with the rifle. I have the entire set now. Just trying to figure out what caliber to buy. EO has a factory 300 WM barrel in stock. I am debating between it and waiting for a 300 PRC.Just turn the 308 bolt into a Lapua bolt to complete the set.

AINA makes a barrel, but AIUK doesn’t make a mag. From the factory mine wouldn’t feed; based on threads here I purchased services from @PerformanceWeapons to modify the AI mags.MC and SR share the same mags? There were some reports of feeding issues with the prc and the SR’s.
Do you have a link to the type of service provided @TheOE800?AINA makes a barrel, but AIUK doesn’t make a mag. From the factory mine wouldn’t feed; based on threads here I purchased services from @PerformanceWeapons to modify the AI mags.
Sent you a PMCan help. I’ve got a new AI 300PRC Blk barrel if they are hard to find for whatever reason. Haller

Sell NOTHING until you check EVERYTHING out. Make SURE your firing pin assembly fits in both bolt bodies. Make SURE that they feed and extract the cases properly, etc. Don't assume ANYTHING. Speaking from experience. I bought a new 338 small firing pin bolt body from EO that was incompletely machined, and the firing pin assembly from my 308 complete bolt assembly would NOT rotate upon insertion no matter what. It was not EO's fault, it was AI's. Fortunately, it was easily returned and replaced with another bolt body, but it was right-hand, and not rare like a lefty would be, so it was immediately available. Don't give up your 308 until you KNOW the 300WM bolt body is 100% GTG.So, a great ending to a 4-year search.
A few days ago, I posted that I purchased a new LH 308 AXMC bolt body from EO. I was going to send it to Fritz for conversion to a 300WM boltface. What I didn't tell you all is that a few hours earlier, @Tack425 PM'd me that he was expecting a shipment of TWO brand new LH AXMC 300WM bolt bodies. He and I have been talking about trying to find one for three years now. I still ordered the LH 308 body as insurance since there was only one in stock. I didn't think that getting two was possible, but two days later, he sent me a photo via PM showing that he had TWO of them. He offered to sell one to me at his cost. Needless to say, I jumped on that.
Today, USPS arrived, and lo and behold, I have the holy grail.

I also have a spare LH AXMC bolt body in 308...LOL. I will keep it and sell my original to someone who is looking.
This couldn't have turned out better. The smile on my face is ear-to-ear. Goes to show what a great community we have here on the Hide.
Many thanks to @Tack425 for being an outstanding person!
Good for you my friend. So, a great ending to a 4-year search.

That was all AXMC... I bought a new AXSR in 300PRC with a factory mag and have had NO problems with feeding from the mag like many others have described. I don't know why I didn't have the same problem they did, because the mag is marked for 300WM. Given the choice, I'd pick 300PRC over 300WM every time because of the extra performance, and not having to deal with a belted cartridge when resizing. But there are a lot of people who have had issues with mag-feeding a PRC from a WM mag, so I understand their frustration even though I didn't experience it.
