Aftermarket AX AICS rails that work! (L@@K Pics)

Howzit guys. I know that there have been a lot of people wait for AI to make the rail sections available to purchase separately including myself. I found a rail that works really good so the wait is over for me and I thought I'd share with fellow hide members. Enjoy!

I recently purchased a 13.5 " NSR rail from Noveske for a AR SPR build i'm doing from Rainier (witch is sick btw). It didn't come with any rails but I noticed my AX rails fit it perfectly.
I found the NSR 9 slot rails available on Noveskes website and ordered a couple for around $24 each seen below (note the bipod stud in the picture is from my AX).

Unfortunately they were not direct drop in's like I was hoping. The NSR rails have a section on the back that makes it proprietary to the NSR rail. You can see it in the next picture. Im pointing at it with a allen wrench.

A hand file and literally 2 minutes latter

A little flat black paint. Modified rail on top, unmodified on bottom

and there you have it!

I can't tell from your post if you know that the AX rails are available from Mile High Shooting now, I think they announced it about a month ago.

Great idea though and those might even be cheaper.

I am looking at replacing some rails on carbines right now and the choice is between the NSR and Troy Extreme Battle Rail. I have an AX chassis system on my 308 so I was wondering the same thing. I actually just sent an email to Noveske a few minutes ago asking if these were compatible. Good to know that the AX rails work on the NSR. Thanks for the info.

Thanks! Just ordered NSR rail sections for my NSR and wondered the same thing while looking at my NSR rail.

Yes! $25 for these vs. $55 for the AI rails!
