Re: M24 build finally finished

Very nicely done! It seems like ages ago when you started that rifle on the M24 build thread. Glad you're done and can now enjoy shooting it.

Re: M24 build finally finished

Awesome build, great looking stick. I am kinda doing the same thing you are, only I am building an M40A1. I am not building it exactly to spec, just adding what I want to.

Re: M24 build finally finished

Very nice and I like the shorter barrel too. Good twist on building a "clone" by making it your own.

Re: M24 build finally finished

Thanks for the Kind words guys.
It took me a while but it was well worth it.
nicholas306, that M40A1 will be a great experiance and a lot of fun.
led, every thing you see in the pic the rifle complete with the scope was some where around $3000.00 after i finished it the rest of the kit i have ben working on The eagle bag and McCann Mirs as well as the T-handlewrenches and pelican case for them is a whole is another $600. or so. I did all the inletting/bedding my self so i saved abit.

This project was a great experiance and for future DIYers the search engine is your best friend, I was able to find write ups for most of the proceduers here on the hide.
Thanks again

Re: M24 build finally finished

I have only taken it to the range once about 1 month ago.
In the limited time i had i was able to fire 6 5 shot groups from .2 to .5 most were .5 at 100yds with my first attempt at hand loads, I plan on going back this monday with 200 more. I will post the results a few days after. I am trying to get used to the 1Moa elevation turret.

Re: M24 build finally finished

Do you roughly remember how much the stock was. I used the m24 during my time in the army also in the guard. Now wanting to build my own but gonna build it up as u did and make it how i want it

Re: M24 build finally finished

Awesome looking rifle. Im a big M24 fan. Nince to see more M24 rifles out there. Very basic but accurate rifle.
