NAME: ciscoguy
MATCH: 100YB-TQ4
CLASS: S 6-20 Vortex Viper (Warne Steel Rings / DIP Mount)
CALIBER: .17HMR
RIFLE: CZ 455 American (stock except 2 lb trigger pull.)
AMMO: Hornady V-Max 17 Grain
SCORE: 250 - 16X

I changed my rings to my Warne rings, and added the YoDave trigger kit. Other than that, everything is the same as last month. Didn't have much trigger time lately, but I'm relatively pleased with the performance. The weather was hot, with 5-10 MPH puffs coming in right to left at the muzzle.

I think I want to put pillars in this month, and see if it tightens up a bit. As I see I now, that's 25 dead hogs, rabbits, groundhogs, etc. out of 25 shots, and the real purpose of this rifle IS hunting. Still, I want i would like to see it a bit tighter than this. I wish I could find a ante with 200 and 300 yard positions. This will have to do for now.

As usual I fought wind again this afternoon. Seems like that's all we ever do out here in Nebraska. I was pleased with how the Federal 510B (cheap) ammo performed.

I figured there wasn't any reason to use up my good ammo in such windy conditions.

First attempt for the 200yrd comp. I've shot groups before at 200, with a rear bag, but this was first time shooting with no rear support. That makes a huge difference! I only had 22 shots actually hit the paper. My heartbeats moved my cross hairs completely off the paper, had a hard time timing that along with trying to deal with the wind. Tough game!
(Score on paper is wrong, missed one)
