Maybe they were talking about where repairs are done, not production? I spoke with SWFA today about my 1-6x24 order. I was told some time this summer and could not pin it down any further. The rep made mention of getting them through Customs and remained totally no-committal.

I just got off the phone a bit ago fully intending to cancel my order and get a Vortex PST if they had one. Instead I snagged the 5x20 MRAD off the sample list

They did mention some new 5x20's are in and a bigger shipment is due.

Ugh. I'm so anxious for my scopes, 1-6 on order, 5-20 non-illum as part of sharing the group buy and my 5-20 illum on repair (I think it will be replaced). Can't <span style="font-style: italic">really</span> shoot both of my rifles well without these scopes. Will have to get by on my Aimpoint and Vortex red dots until then.

Also, I just wanted to point out that a facility move could be using the same supplier just a different physical plant location. That certainly could be a cause of a delay.

I kind of doubt the story about customs though. We heard that at least 4-6 weeks ago, they would have cleared by now.

As posted above we are now at "no commitment = no disappointment". It is a bit surprising though that their supplier can not at least give a window. I'd say it is likely they have as it would be highly non-standard in any such business to business transaction to not have a delivery date. Of course SWFA still wont share or at least won't share beyond "summer". To me that means end of August. If that rough window is still conservative it might mean more realistically mid August. Ugh.

This year the last official day of summer is September 21.

It works like this guys... if they said "They're due out August" then when they show up a month late, people get sad... then 2 months late, they get annoyed, then 3 months late, they get mad.

When they say "Sometime in summer"... when they show up in fall people only get sad... it'll be winter and next spring before people get mad.

SWFA understands PSYCHOLOGY IMA TELL YA WUT!!!

i bought a red dot and it showed up and while i was mounting it today i thought...."hey wait...i have a 1-6x coming sometime"

now i have to return the red dot.

Depends...

Meterological definition (weather based): End of August
American Calendar definition: Labor day (1st weekend in September)
Equinox definition (astronomical): September 21

I think both of the first two definitions are much more common and frequently used than "yours" the astronomical one. Well that suits the idea that I might get my scopes just a hair sooner as well

Should have posted here first instead of making a new thread. This is my first time on in a while. I ordered the fixed 16x in moa and they told me they were back ordered but expected them in stock around july 4th. They just sent me an email yesterday that says
"We are sorry to inform you that some of the merchandise you ordered from SWFA has been discontinued by the manufacturer and we have not been able to locate this merchandise through secondary vendors. The item/s listed below is no longer available"
so they want to send me a 16x in mil/mil instead that they have in stock. Whats going on over there?

After reading the a above recent posts; this might probably sound silly to some, But remember the earthquake? Remember Fukushima? Remember the nuclear power plants reactors? It's far from the mainstream media anymore but I don't pay much attention to those propoganda outlets. I'm worried about Japan and that incident is an ongoing disaster from what I can tell. Just food for thought, possibly radioactive food and what have you........

Agreed. The old scope was a MOA Turret / Mil Reticle anyway, I'd take the one they offered as it's matching Mil / Mil

ya, ill probably just take it instead of waiting forever for one to come in. All my other scopes are mil/moa so im just used to it. I dont like change!

My 5-20 showed up yesterday...... Wow! This is a pretty nice piece of glass. Will get mounted up in next few days and run it through the paces. I am pretty impressed even though it's not my first SS product. Still want the 1-6 yesterday though.

Order was placed on 5-24 for group buy with the non illuminated version. It was back-ordered. I sent an email asking for an ETA on the 1-6, as I expected, no date was given, not even a hint. While we are all chomping at the bit to get them, I do understand how SWFA would like a smooth roll out of a new product so it's best to get everything figured out before they get them on the street only to have problems. With this terrible shooting in Colorado, I'm hoping that the politicians don't see this as a chance to ban all guns. My prayers go out to all who were involved with losses, the bodies weren't even cold before they started calling for more gun control. Tragic event may lead to another tragic event.... Loss of freedom.

I join you all in the waiting game! I was really impressed with the SWFA HD 1-4 on my M4. I'm exited to extend my optic capabilities to a 1-6. I keep checking this thread for updates. Bump it back to the top and hope SWFA starts shipping these soon.

Been waiting so long for the 1-6 I'm super antsy. Need something in the mail to satisfy my compulsion. So I ordered a SS 12x42 yesterday. I need it for target anyway. My wife probably would not think I need it. If you tell her I will hunt you down!!!!

I placed my order for the 5-20 and 1-6 on the last day of the coupon, June 21st if I remember correctly. About a week ago I got an e-mail from SWFA stating that the items that I ordered were out of stock. I think it is kinda silly to get an e-mail three weeks after you place an order telling you your items are out of stock. I'm thinking, why bother, you, I, and everyone else in the world knows the stuff's out of stock, you dont' have to send me and e-mail to remind me that I'm still waiting!!!

It is just a common courtesy that SWFA is offering; letting you know it's backordered and giving the option of canceling the order and/or substituting something else. The scopes will all get here when they get here, good scopes at a good price are worth the wait.

I spoke with SWFA today about the current orders and they are still not releasing an ETA on arrival or shipment of either of the optics.

I spoke with them on Friday and asked if they are still expecting them during the summer. They said they "hope" to have them this summer but again won't give any ETA.

Maybe I shouldn't have had them add the extra for the illuminated. Has anyone heard an estimate for when they might be getting more? Sounds like I might actually see the 1-6 before the 5-20.

I can wait since I don't have the rifle for the 1-6X I ordered. I would rather wait an extra month and get a scope with no problems instead of them rushing the scopes out without all the bugs worked out. For the price this scope will be worth the wait.

I didn't get charged for the 1-6 yet, just the 5-20 I already received. Not sure why they charged you already if you haven't received any product? Odd.. I was glad to pay for the 5-20 though as it split up the bill for me.

So I ordered the 10k deal cause i couldnt pass it up. Not knowing much about the 1-6 but now im real excited. Just bumed i havent gotten the 5-20 . Unfotunetly as of right now when the 1-6 does come its only nest will be atop my. 22 lol so im excited to have a optic 4x the value of my weapon.

Keep this thread alive. It helps the waiting process.

Ordered a 16X two weeks ago, no word on when it will ship. I asked yesterday about anything similar to ship instead and it sounds like they don't have anything in stock.
