It was all the rage in the 70s, then it became bad form for cinematographers until the mid-90s when CG lens flares started showing up. And with it quickly becoming the most overused CG effect, they died out only to be reintroduced ad nauseam by JJ Abrams in the 2010 "Star Trek." Expect more this time around as well as crazy anamorphic lens flare overload in "Man of Steel" next year.

So what you are saying is, JJ Abrahms is the Quentin Taratino of Lens Flare ...

any hints for us, just an initial, K, or G... you can say, G-ee, Frank I can't tell you, Or you know they will K-ill me if I spill the beans LOL

Nah, I'm not working on this one, so I have no insight other than it's a crazy production schedule so the VFX teams will be working through the holidays to get it finished in time.

The last one was entertaining but I couldn't get over the really basic inconsistencies: Black Holes are bad, they will destroy you! Black Holes are good, you can time travel through them. Black Holes are bad, they will destroy you!
