since american stocks are hard to get without overpaying triple price we've decided to make them localy.

just wanted to share - all carbon stock.
modelled after A1-3 (comb dropped a bit, pistol grip made slimmer, fore-end si a bit longer)
weight - from 800 to 920 grams
inlet - badger M5

thats cool lookin. are you guys going to consider any kind of texturing? judging from how shiny it is, it looks like it might be kind of slippery when wet. its nice to know it can double as a snowboard if i ever make it over to moscow for one of those beautiful summer days like in the pic.

it's so called "dry carbon"
the finished stock is covered by special water-proof cover - so it's not so slippery as it looks.

Wow. guys. i didn't expect such interest.

Technology wise the steps are the follwoing:

1. We put carbon prepreg into the mold, overlapping the joint line in the mold. We do it in 15 degree difference between layers. overal width of the carbon vary from 0,8mm to 3mm.
Under action we put prepreg inline with the action making additional layers under recoil lug up to 5 mm. We put steel liners between layers of carbon prepreg in areas of pillars and studs.
One stock require aroun 10 sq.meters of prepreg.

2. We put the pressure camera inside the stock (so carbon prepreg layes between pressure camera and mold) and cook the stock with the pressure putted into camera for 8 hours.
3. We let the stock to cool down to the room temperature, remove the pressure camera and cook the stock for additional 8 hours to remove stress from the carbon
4. After that we remove the stock blank from the mold and remove spew from the joint lines.

After that we have the blank with formed barrel channel and action channel:

5. After that we fill the action area with special fill which can be machined, and fill foreend and stock with light foam (175g on 1 cubic decimeter)
6. We machine inlet, install pillars, sling studs, run finish on the stock surface
7. If the customer wants - we machine 0,2 mm from the carbon at action area and form action inlet with devcon bedding using polished action blank (the stocks in the first post done with this step)
8. We cover the stock with special anti-adhesion cover (it's done at 90C) to make the stock not so slippery. If customer want to paint the stock he should remove this layer of cover with acetone prior painting.
9 stock is ready to go.

I love the carbon fiber stocks, but it's safe to assume a hefty penny is going to be needed to purchase on if these.
 
That is BEAUTIFUL! I have dry carbon car parts and it can vouch for the lightweight without sacrificing strength. Very cool stock indeed.

All i can say now (i assume i will not brake any rules by doing it) that we try to make price for our "stock+DBM combo" +-equal to the price of "XLR carbon chassis with standard stock and folder mechanism"

I understand thats it's an upper-end for US market but on IWA we handled carbon stock from christensen arms which almost double than our.
So yes - they not cheap. But for some builds its worth it:

Devilish. Looks like you´re able to accomodate most any inlet and do several models, right? A stock for an RPA Quadlite, maybe? Just add a Karsten-style cheek rest and tell me where to send the money...

These are beautiful, easily the nicest looking CFRP stocks that I've ever seen and the way the inletting area is laid with fiber it will be stronger than any of the US stocks that cut away the top surface for inletting, you guys are doing a great job.

For the projected cost comparison to an XLR, I'd buy the thing with DBM as shown. I want a lefty version, when they're available in the states then I'll be happy to buy one.
 
What actions do you have them in. I'm looking for one for a Remington LA. The carbon fiber would be perfect for a mountain hunting rifle.

Signing in for updates. I've always been baffled why stock-makers haven't jumped on CF. Its seems like a marketing home-run for hunters.

Meanwhile we're in the middle of design of the next stock - with more vertical grip and adjustable cheeckpiece:

barrel channel is 1,35" plain to accomodate any barrel profile.
idea is to cook it together with steel liners inside the carbon foreend to have a base to connect night vision rail to stock direclty - i.e. use only upper part of Badger EFR
Honestly we could cook it together with triggerguard and magazine hole - but it won't be stock anymore but rather the strange variation of chassis.

Target weight is 1kg with adjustable cheekpiece and all liners installed.
