Madison, Ms
Just wanted to express my joy at my situation. My wife is who is totally OCD, is letting me put my sensitive reloading equipment inside the house. Powders primers scales .... Ect. I'm having Ankle surgery June 5 and will be down till mid August. Can't walk. So my wife agreed to let me move all my shit home ,away from my Lodge on my family land. My really good friend Josh brought a really nice pre constructed bench to put outside on my back porch. So what the plan is... Prep brass outside. Prime and charge inside. Hobble my gimp ass outside and seat them. I've got 4 trimmers set for each caliber, 2 chargmasters, a br3, a little thing with wheels on it to prop my leg on and push with my good foot and a hell of alot of powder bullets ect... Sorry if this sounds ridiculous but this is my 3rd operation in less than a year and I've already been down six months. But here it is. :)

I plan to have enough damn loads made that I won't have to load for a good while and it will keep me from GOING INSANE!! Thank you Hunny!

Sorry to hear about your surgery but congrats on marrying a keeper! Good woman. Hope the surgery goes well and the reloading, i mean re-coop goes better

My wife is so understanding, she helped me move all my shit right out to the garage. Now she barely lets me in to pee.

The living room. That's the dining room table under the tarp!

I prime and charge in the house too with case prep and seating in the garage. Wife is OK with this unless I loose a primer and it gets sucked up in the vacuum cleaner.

She is a pretty cool chick for letting you do that My girl is the same way. Definitly keepers.

Aimsmall, good luck on your surgery and hope you have a speedy recovery. I see you are a lucky man to have an understanding wife.

Since you will be home bound with all your reloading gear set up and time on your hands,,,maybe I ll send you some brass and powder and you can load some for me..LOL J/K

Always enjoy your post and experience/advice here on the hide.

Thanks man. Appreciate that. Means a lot to me. It's one week away and I am DREADING it so don't be surprised if I'm posting some pretty weird stuff in the next 2 weeks in my "narcotic haze"!! Lol

I had Ankle surgery last November, it hurt like hell afterward, today it feels great, so take it easy, have fun at rehab(torture), and get better. My wife too has OCD, she finally couldn't take it anymore and gave me the guest bedroom in the house I souly pay for, only condition was it had to be nice, I went to HomeRipOff I mean Home Depot and bought some unfinished kitchen cabinnets, and a damaged counter top.

I think it turned out good, but its too small, so a Lazy Susan in the corner and another 6-8 feet of counter top in a different color is in the future.

Pretty good looking set up. Yeah I really can't see it getting any more painful (except for 1 week post op). I've got a condition known as Reflex Sympathetic Dystrophy. (RSD). My cartilage is tore up pretty bad from the bone fragments in my joints, full on arthritis , signs of osteoporosis, bone spurs, nerve damage, extreme swelling, basically it really fucking hurts.
Here's what it looks like if I really push it hard working at the camp , walking too far, ect... So I try my best to take it easy

This is after a Turkey Hunt in March. Gave that shit up real quick.

Damn that chit is no joke....FWIW...make sure you start taking post-op meds when you get out of PACU...dont wait till pain starts up or you will be behind the 8-ball...wanna get on those receptors before it really gets the pain going up..... also check and see if a pain block with an on-Q pump is a viable option for you....They are good for 3 days post op...but will need to discuss with your surgeon and anesthesia provider before day of surgery...

now june 6th...look forward to drunk ass narcotic induced post from you...lol

Aimsmall, sorry to see and hear that. Had a friend with it and fortunately she went into remission. Good luck with your surgery.
Only one suggestion - straighten up your shit or your wife's OCD may interfere. That's why all my stuff's in the garage.
Now, chargemasters next to a gas stove? You trying out for a Darwin award?

DAMN! Prometheus and Giraud! I am jealous.

It really sucks to be in constant pain all the time. Hope your surgery goes well, reloading will certainly help the recovery.

I have sympathy for your injury. But reloading in the kitchen is too hillbilly for me. But, if it keeps you from going stir crazy then power to you. I bet you can exhaust your component supply within a week anyway. ;)

2 + months of no walking. Activity outside the home ect.. Hillbilly is fine with me

Hope surgery goes well for ya, Bro! Having an understanding wife is great! Good Luck to ya, Lightman

Speedy recovery brother, send me your address and I'll send ya some reading material

I do all of my reloading at the kitchen island too. My wife lets me leave it out all weekend, but I have to clean it up on Sunday nights.

When my oldest daughter moves out on a couple months, I get her bedroom as my reloading room. A whole room to myself, nice! Already bought a great industrial bench with steel cabinets, butcher block top, drawers, etc. Like a Snap-on chest with a 6' long top and top cabinets! Costco, $400.

I used to move every few years. Had everything from a bench in the garage, to loading on the kitchen table, to a dream in door reloading room. After living in an apartment for a year, I just closed on a new construction house with three bed rooms and two unfinished rooms. This week i get to set up an indoor reloading room! In days to come I have a prewired 16x16 man room waiting to be finished. Grizzy has some nice maple benches that look perfect for my reloading needs.

Hope you recover quickly. Looks like some choice equipment on the small bench.

Hi Aimsmall
You sent me a PM, a while ago, about some questions I had on the Hide. Thanks, really appreciated it.
I wish you a fast and good recovery; now if only you could shoot from your back porch, it would make things even better ;)

Somehow, the combination of the Coleman heater and powder does not sound good........
