What has peoples wait times typically been for their rifle? I bought mine mid April 18’ and am still waiting on it...
Found mine in stock at a dealer months ago. I’d give them a call and “express” some frustrations.
Assuming you live in the US.

Asked for a refund to buy from a dealer that had one in stock
I have been watching this thread on and off for a while and it seems like this gun is a lot of drama for a sub par accuracy gun..
Mine with the proof barrel is a hammer. The accuracy issues seem to be the Bartlein/Tooley barreled rifles. I don’t think it’s a coincidence that Q dropped that option.
It should be for 3k, tgey should be guaranteed 1/2 moa. Masterpiece arms is 3/8.I think there is some isolated cases of sub par accessory. But without knowing more I will not chalk it up to the gun. Mine is sub moa...

If you want to talk guarantees. I can find ammo that won’t shoot 3/8 in masterpiece. Just like I can find ammo that can shoot half Moa in Q.
Functionally the difference between half moa and sub Moa is negligible for most people. When you start talking half of 3/8 moa everything has to be right and most shooters are not capable of it imo.
I am not capable of consistently shooting 3/8 group...
.
So the issue was with two very well known and respected individuals/companies? Not only do I find that hard to believe (I don’t for a second), I’m surprised you’ve jumped to that conclusion. There’s much that’s helpful on here, but I think most thinking folks can file this under the bs and drama catagory.
Now that would have been cool to do!
Take it for what you want, but yes, absolutely it’s around the models with those barrels. There’s reports of them barely shooting 1.5moa... tell me why that is but the rest shoot fine. Anyone that knows anything about precision rifles knows that the majority of the accuracy comes from the barrel and nothing about the design of this action would hinder accuracy as it’s basically a manually operated SR-25 as far as action lockup is concerned. As someone who’s been burned in the past I’m not the least bit surprised either.
I'd like to see the barrel for proof (lack of a better word there).
Guns have been built and shipped with Green Mountain barrels on them as well. I think some are getting guns thinking it has a Bartlein/Tooley barrel on it and it does not.
Just today got one confirmed.....guy thought it had our barrel and it does not! He got his rifle with a Green Mountain barrel on it.
This has been done in the past where a gunsmith and or manufacturer tell the customer it got so and so's barrel on it. We get a call saying the gun doesn't shoot. So I ask them to send the barrel in to us so we can look at it. Sure enough not our barrel. A good example is I had one customer that had 6 rifles and all supposedly had our barrels on them. Barrels come in and all of the barrels had 6 groove rifled barrels on them. I had to call the manufacturer up and tell them we we're not warranting any of the barrels for anything. The manufacturer asked why. I said not our barrels! Told them we never made them 6 groove barrels. So who's barrels did you put on the customers rifle? Phone went quiet! Manufacturer did it not once but twice.

So was the barrel labeled as yours but not, or was the customer just not educated and assumed it was a bartlein?I'd like to see the barrel for proof (lack of a better word there).

Has anyone run Prime ammo through their 6.5 proof barrel yet? I’m looking at picking some up, but don’t want to invest in a case until trying some, which is hard to do where I live in Alaska.
Thank youJust post it in the Accessories PX, asky and they will come.
Q’s website has 5/8x24 Cherry Bombs in stock. Silencer Shop has both 5/8x24 and 1/2x28 in stock as wellI am looking for another cherry bomb. Not sure if there is a specific “for sale” section for this rifle, or what ever I am supposed to ask. Anyone have a link? Or PM it I guess. Thank you
I was looking for a used one to save some money. I found the for sale accessories area. for what ever reason I was having issues navigation the forum. HahaQ’s website has 5/8x24 Cherry Bombs in stock. Silencer Shop has both 5/8x24 and 1/2x28 in stock as well
So the other night, I found an unattended lathe. I'm not a machinist or even skilled. But it seemed like a good time to put the 6.5 Bart/Tooley barrel on a diet.
Changed the taper:
Finished weight 2.7lbs:
All I did was copy the profile on a barrel fieldcraft. Sort of. Obviously cutting it down shorter would be more substantial in the weight loss category. There seemed to be a lot more meat on there then it needed to have.
Before the super barrel smith guys jump all over me--someone who doesn't want or claim to be a machinist. I went really slow and took off a little bit in each pass. It took like 22 min per pass on the straight part. Which means it took hours. Never got hot. Barely warm. Still shoots like a laser. Just not as heavy of a laser.
It was not marked Bartlein/Tooley. They assumed, for whatever reason, it was a B/TSo was the barrel labeled as yours but not, or was the customer just not educated and assumed it was a bartlein?
I'd be happy to design a contour that would meet 90% of everyones requirements if there's enough interest.

If I just pushed the easy button it would be the Win featherweight contour to save weight. Or I could get creative and push another easy button and use an AR-10 contour. I've got two Sig 716 6.5 blanks. I need to weigh them. Bartlein says for the FW only in CM but the Q 308 barrel is much smaller before the muzzle boss. I should be able to get them to make it for 308 based cases. None of you guys are going to hunt in -40 degree temps are you?
22 creed is too much barrel wear for me personally. I am curious how fast I could sling 162s in 7mm saw if I moved up to 18in
Creed on left. 7mm-08 on right. Saw in the middle
What were the issues with 7mm-08 was oal or feeding?
