I am working out of town...6-7 days a week, 7 hours from home with no time off to go home.
Tuesday the Furnace goes Tango Uniform with a high for the day of 56. Luckily the girlfriend and her daughters are smart enough to turn on the fireplace and wear some warm PJs at night. I'll replace the HVAC (it's 18 years old) and just pay to have the AC connected and charged. Hopefully in the next month or two if I ever get home.
Wednesday the Garage door goes sideways after opening. Tech comes out and quotes $410 to get it working again. 5 hours later and jacks up the opener as well. 7pm and the GF has to be at work at 0200 . The company owner finally capitulates and replaces the opener and finishes repairs on the door for the original quote.
What next?
Hot water heater and all water lines replaced back in Jan/Feb so those are out.
