I was just wondering where the best place to buy Sitka clothing is I am mainly looking for jackets for waterfowl, specifically the delta wading jacket and duck oven. I am also interested in more of their whitetail collection. I was hoping someone would know where I could possibly find them somewhere cheaper than retail. I am in Missouri if that matters.

EuroOptic, Scheels, and Sierra is where I would typically look.

If you are military, not sure about former military, or first responder, you go right through their website and submit your application. It is pretty substantial, and lessens the pain felt when purchasing.

Midway has a sale on sitka stuff and free shipping promo going on now.

eBay and there’s a Facebook group Sitka Waterfowlers (or something close). I wear a lot of Simms while fishing, Sitka is a step above them. I have a lot of the waterfowl line in both timber and marsh. Zip waders are legit, too...

Just go atleast 1to 2 sizes over what you think you should have.
The sizes are more along the lines of a very athletic fit and don't leave much room (sarcasm) for the real human form 🤣🤣
It really is a line that should be tried on prior to paying that kind of coin for hunting cloth.

Sitka outer layers are some of the best in the market in my opinion. The delta wading jacket is a great piece but isn’t insulated. Duck oven will probably cook you if it’s not under 30, I think the dwj with a quality insulating layer is the best combo to wear from early to late season. A guy by the name of Clete Burkemper in MO usually has good prices on Sitka.

Trying on what you intend to buy is great advice. Also understanding what is meant to be layered with what, does too. Can you layer the DO under the DWJ? Yes. It’s a little bulky in the upper, though. The DO is designed primarily an outer layer jacket. The Fahrenheit Jacket (I find the Fahrenheit and DO to be similar in warmth, just cut differently and fill different roles) layers nicely under the DWJ for extreme cold and the Gradient jackets will get you through a lot of the season with the right base layer.

One of the easiest ways to understand Sitka’s waterfowl layering vs outerwear is if it has upper hand warming pockets on the chest, it was designed to be an outer layer. There are outliers, the Dakota hoody is one, but for the most part in the waterfowl line, upper hand warming pockets equal outer layer, normal lower location pockets equal layering piece. Of course you can do whatever works best for you, but that’s the general rule of thumb I tell people.

I am an avid waterfowl hunter and often hunt in really cold conditions in open water (boat). I love the Sitka stuff ... it has served me well. Had a tear in a Duck Oven ... sent it back and had it fixed very quickly. I have bought quite a bit of it from Mountain-Archery. Size/color availability is hit or miss but the prices are excellent.
