Well good news from our Texas governor but gets even better in Tarrant County where I live.

Being Texas Independence Day our county judge jumped the gun and dropped all restrictions starting today.

Was going to drop powder and load but powder charges and TX Bourbon don't mix well so guess it will be TX and ham radio instead.

I'd run naked in the streets but I have a badly pulled hamstring and am not as purty as I once was.

Get on Echolink Bro And hit me up. California, Area 6... look for Beverly Hills :)

A year ago in the virus thread I called him a camera whore POS. There were several people that gave me shit about that.
The only difference between now and then? He's another year older.
This little man, is c*^t deep in this shit. Wonder what his stock portfolio looks like, with what he has invested in these new "vaccines"? He is near the top, with his head up B. Gates ass, of the people responsible of shutting down America. F this turd! Mac:mad:

I really never had faith in him from the start. Then when he started his "mask on/mask off" shit, that's when I felt the same way you do. He needs to dry up and go away, period. Mac

I think it's absolutely great, that states like Texas and a few others, are doing what they are. It's about time, the people start saying, F this shit! It needs to happen faster and on a larger scale. Enough is enough. MERIKA!! Mac

Hard for me to get excited over the lifting of a draconian government mandate that never should've been.

Oklahoma has some interesting things going on right now too. Want to pass a bill to proclaim some Federal legislation unconstitutional and they will not abide by it. Got some chick in the rotunda claiming they can't just decide which Federal laws to follow and she's trying to have it thrown out. Hmmm, how's that medical MJ working out then?

Looks like the shitshow in the public school system is red-pilling some normies:

Republicans can either seize the moment and offer well-crafted plans to get kids back in school while simultaneously crushing the teachers' unions, or they can sit on the sidelines and watch even more radical elements take control of the school system. I know which one I'd prefer, and I know which one we're likely to get. But I'm sure that we'll at least get some scathing takes on Twitter, so we have that going for us.

I like the Money goes with the student idea. Send your kids where ever you want and the Govt money goes with them. Free market right?

That's how we do things in MI with charter schools (which my kids attend). It's not perfect since there is still a built-in inequality with regards to the ability (or lack thereof) to pass special assessments to fund infrastructure, but it's a solid start.

It would have been nice to see something useful come from Education Secretary Betsy DeVos last year, but she was apparently too busy continuing her track record of uselessness.

All I can say is that almost every other middle-class parent I've talked to is ready to go full pitchforks-and-torches on anyone who gets in the way of school reopening, even if they are normally apolitical. There are a few on the far left who have apparently decided to yield their default position of "it's for the children!!!"; that's fine, but someone needs to step into that vacuum to provide solutions.

These are the peeps that own the Biden clan.......any "permissiveness" or "diversity" currently promoted to ensure the fractionalization of Americans you can bet that once they are in power they will clamp down and crush anyone not in line with the regime.

Public education is generally a terrible idea. Once you accept it, you are just haggling over the best of a bad situation.

We are in the process of creating a fucked up system similar to that my ex Brazilian girlfriend described she lived with.....

Public education is only designed to provide enough to make you a functioning slave.

In order to get a real education the schools are either "selective" or expensive.

Real education is not available to the general population and as a result opportunities are limited.

Soon, or perhaps starting 8-10 years ago, American public schools only produce semi literate, unskilled people.....only the elite are going to have kids with the training to succeed in society.

The idea of public education is a good one, necessary for a society ripe with opportunity for all, the system we are moving to will only produce limited opportunity and unprepared people.

No, the idea of public education is terrible. It is, and always has been, about creating a people who believe in a common myth, a common history etc. Everybody thinks it is a great idea, when it is their myth being taught. It is ripe for abuse, and it is abused here.

gotta wonder why nobody asked wray who led the "investigation" into election fraud that saw nothing.
i doubt there was anyone or any actual investigation, other than harassment of witnesses like the postal truck driver.

Yes learning history is bad.

What is the common myth? That the richest men in the colonies decided to risk everything in order to bring about a country dedicated to ensuring respect for the individual?

Yes indoctrination is bad, but education is good.

Read, writing, math, civics, history......thats all I expect.

Lol. All history is complicated, and what you are arguing for is simply one competing myth. Of course, I think it is a good one as it provided the basis for a relatively successful society, which was always the point. Whether it is wholly true (it is not) doesn't matter and never did. The utility did. Now the myths are written by others, trying to create a different society. But they are all functioning in the same way, to shape young people to act a certain way and to believe a certain way. In my way of thinking, that is problematic, whether or not a good myth is being taught.

I have no problem with reading, writing and math being taught. There are, and have always been, plenty of organizations willing to do so. Mainly churches, who also like to throw in their own mythology. I mean, that is why they have done it over time too. But if it is voluntary, and not controlled by the government, I am great with it.
