Denver SNOWMAGEDDON Coming!

Yeah, they can make power. But it’s easier to find speed in the suspension/tires

Did you have the V10 tdi? That was a fucking monster

Nice. I’m trying to talk myself into a Porsche Cayenne diesel. Same drivetrain in all the VAG vehicles and would scratch my itch to own a Porsche

No not the V10,

Mine was an R Line but not the year of the big motor, I missed the full recall benefits by one year too
Do you need a personal mechanic? I’d work for lessons. If you play hard to get I’d sweeten the deal by not wearing a shirt while I work

My experience is with Mercedes and BMW but I’ve heard all the track events are awesome.

Bwahahahahaha.

Maggot knows how to do a blizzard.

WTF is with sensationalizing storms these days. Growing up on the front range we'd have blizzards every year. School may or may not be cancelled morning of. You'd pray and pray while you ate your Corn Pops that the news would roll your school at the bottom ticker. Now, every storm is a life changing event. Now they cancel school before the damn storm even comes. That last "blast cyclone" or whatever the hell they called it was bullshit. Shits out of hand.

Out here in the NE desert we are praying for snow and hoping it doesn't come in sideways. That is hard on our calves.
It is drier than a popcorn fart out here.
Colorado's snowpack up on the hills is really low this year and way too many people on the Front Range that rely on that for water.
With so many watersheds burned out by the fires last summer if there is a good run-off it could get ugly as far as water supply goes.

People are getting soft. We need more storms like they are predicting. I want to see a return of the days when you actually had to rely more on good snow tires and less on the snowplow like you do today.

I also want to see another ice age to remind the idiots who moved to Colorado the last couple decades that it was a poor choice, and they need to go back to the place they came from.

We've got too many damn people in Colorado, on top of the millions that come here to vacation.

Maybe it’ll drive some of the softer ones out, that would be great. C’mon global warming!

Leaving tomorrow for Palisade for a match on Saturday. Not sure what is going to be more fun. The match or the ride home. 🤠

The snow doesn't bother me, it's the fucking idiots who can't drive. They're bad enough in perfect conditions. 😐

Because weather is now part of the entertainment business and if you are living in terror of the next killer storm, you keep the Weather Channel turned on 24x7 and they sell more ads and get more clicks...

Everything has to be sensationalized.
Its all part of that downward spiral.
The more panic, the more excuse for govt to take control and have authority. Which they have WAY to much of anyways.

We just talked about this last night in a training exercise. People are being pushed harder and harder towards more fear and more anxiety. And a HUGE volume of people are buying into it.

I could give a darn about the weather. But it was a good excuse to harass Frank and have a few laughs.

Add in Helicopter parenting... kids who are kept in bubble wrap from youth and protected from mean thing... like second place or falling off a trike and learning it's better to not fall off a trike.

You have a whole generation who expects every box of sweet cereal they scream for in the grocery aisle and nothing ever to hurt their feelings or make them feel bad... no boogey men. Mommy will protect you.

Weather? You must Protect yourself from dangerous rays. Heat indexes. Wind chill. Black ice (which is racist... ice is clear ;-) . 5 inches of snow is now a blizzard. 1" of snow means school must be closed.

If it saves the life of just one child!

Fur ze Kinder....

We need a serious crisis in this country to weed out the chaff. Made-up-pandemic is not a real existential threat. It's a test to see who the compliant are and how easy it is to make them... comply. 1919 was a real pandemic. That was an existential threat. The Great Depression. WW2. The Civil War.

Nope, all we have is an easy comfy life in which even the poor have satellite TV's and cars in the driveway and don't need to work. 911, as horiffic as it was for those directly affected, was followed by "Spend money and consume, its patriotic." And an economic boom that lasted until the music stopped in 2008... when everyone got bailed out.

Scaring people with the weather? People don't understand this? Heck, PePe LePew, Paw Patrol and Starbelly Sneetches are considered too racist, sexist, violent and racist for today's ADULTS! Using the weather to terrify the bubble wrap generation of no-immune-system "I Feel You" losers... I'd expect no less.

At the same time, they are terrifying them with evil-looking guns, scary red hats, and made-up militias.

Meh... I know it sounds cold, callous and mean. But we need a good global disaster. Vesuvius would be nice. Or maybe a city-whacking asteroid. A crop failure of biblical proportions. Maybe Cali sliding into the ocean. I'll draw the line at a bleed-out virus or aliens. Those scare me.

But humanity needs a reality check to show people that being offended by pronouns is not first world problems... it's mental health problems. Real problems? Meh, we haven't had one of those since August 1945, though the species did come close a few times.

P.S. If you call everyone 'retard' it's gender-neutral.

My kid knows that a punk with his underwear hanging out of his pants is scarier than any AR or pistol (the full semi auto kind with “Nanner” clips).

We spend a ton of time together and talk about EVERYTHING.
Parents forget that part it seems.

Just 2 weeks ago she had a snow day. I took off work early to go sledding.
Some kids had built a huge jump. We discussed the risks. She decided to do it anyways and loved it.
Then a kid landed wrong and busted his thumb right in front of her.
After he was cared for, she did it again.
Of note, she looked at the kid after he crashed, told him he would be fine and to put snow on it, and then calmly and quietly came and got me to check it out. Proud dad moment. 😁

We all did that as kids. sledding, climbing trees, fires in the burning barrel, rope swings and jumping into a creek or lake, an EZBoy on a skateboard to ride down a huge hill.....
Keeping kids “safe” breeds pussies and scared sheep.

It just started pouring rain, hailing, with lighting and thunder out here in the south east corner. I normally wouldn't get up at 2:30 AM, but first thunder storm of the year on spring break. I will sit and watch. We planted our peas and potatoes yesterday.
About what elevation are you at?

finally starting to lightly sprinkle a little rain here. my hand held idiot box says air temp is 37F.

I am on unofficial "on-call" for work. Just keep the phone on and be ready.

I dont anticipate any calls until tomorrow.....

Thats what we are getting too. A lite rain 35F. The down pour lasted about 20 minutes, and covered the ground with a speckling of pea sized hail. I haven't went out to see, I had some Crocus starting to open yesterday. They may have not faired too well. It looks like there will be a bunch more coming though.

Looks like tomorrow will be a better day to go fire form some more 7.62x39 for my 6.5 Grendel.......That I lost in a boat accident. Shit, I forgot there is no water around here deep enough to submerge a boat in. :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

An AAR on the Palisade RF match would be appreciated. I was signed up but bailed due to the weather....

Lol, I live in the north burbs quite a ways from Denver and we haven’t had anything. Not even a drizzle. I’m so disappointed

I am in the south east corner of the state. What is here is a few hours from you guys in Denver. Thesis the pattern that gives us "the big ones." If it hits cold enough air to snow, you guys are getting snow bookkake big time. Thunder snow likely, go look at the map. There will be some flooding today on the plains.

Send some to the east. We need moisture badly.

Here in Wyoming they are pumping this storm up but as you can see from Thursdays forecast this is pretty tame. At least for a transplanted Mainer it is.

The forecast has not changed dramatically since then but they keep billing this as a potentially historic storm. We’ll see. Dry, brown, with bits of sun shining through, right now.

Well I have a couple scoop shovels that I could ship that direction if things materialize. Would have to be scalper prices though. In Eastern Washington State it seems like the weather peeples forecast the worst possible conditions/snowfall, and for the most part it is extremely rare that it materializes.

Hope it is the same for you folks with the current prediction.
