Vudoo Gun Works V-22 Rimfire Bolt Action

Big thanks to whoever cancelled late in the process and went to a 360. Managed to snag a gen 2 in stock. Cobalt cerakote, straight flutes, 20" Bartlein MTU barrel. Waited a total of 24 hours for it to ship out.
I think there will be more cases like that coming up

That's awesome. I figured we would hear stories like this. 👍

I got my gen 2.0 just before the 360 came out. I had been waiting for the 60* bolt lift for awhile but thought they may never bring it out so I bought the gen 2. I have a T1X and liked that short 60* bolt lift and thought I needed that. Now that I have my gen 2 I'm happy. The bolt lift on my gen 2 might be a slightly longer lift but it is effortless and I feel I can work it as fast as my T1X . My Cronus is mounted almost as low as possible and I don't hit the scope when I run it. All good. I'd say if your centerfire is 90* get a gen 2 if it's a 60* get a 360.

Waited 6 months -

Agreed, I have driven enough R700 trigger pins to fill a swimming pool and I measured the pins and holes on the first V-22 because they were so tight. Numbers don't lie, hit them harder... Ha!

i had one of the recalled Trigger Tech Diamond triggers on my Vudoo and replaced it myself. Holy Moly I could not believe how hard I had to hit it.

I'll be joining the Vudoo club soon. I ordered my V-22 in mid-December 2020 and was thinking of upgrading to the Three 60, but my rifle was already built, the chassis already painted, and the wait would have been too long (at least 6 weeks). So I decided to stick with what I'd ordered, and I'm glad I did! Lisa sent me this photo of what my rifle actually looks like. Looks better than I'd hoped, and already shipped out on Thursday. Can hardly wait for it to get here! Should have it by Tuesday or Wednesday, depending on how long my FFL takes to process it.

Build specs:
  • MPA BA Competition chassis w/custom *H-315 Northern Lights Cerakote (w/slight sheen)
  • 40 MOA rail
  • 20" Bartlein Kukri barrel (polished stainless)
  • NightForce ATACR 7-35x56 F1 scope (Mil-XT reticle)
  • TriggerTech Single-stage Diamond trigger (straight shoe)
  • 34mm ARC rings (low)
  • Large knob (also purchased a spare medium knob, just in case)
  • Atlas BT-65 Cal Gen. 2 Bi-pod w/RRS BTC-Pro Clamp (on the way)
  • Wiebad Cheek Pad (not shown)
  • MPA RAT Barricade stop (not shown)
*Cerakote describes H-315 Northern Lights as a "color-changing navy blue that transforms into a greenish teal with glistening gold metallics".

@bikeracer How far north are you? I'm in GA and its getting hot already, just curious about the it being cold enough to still have snow

I'm at 5280 an it's starting to snow now. 🙃

Here's a pic from the NRL22X match on Saturday. Cold enough to snow. Warm enough to keep the mud deep and wet. Oh how I love spring./s

This was out on the plains just South of Kiowa. East of Denver/Colo Spgs. Mid 30s until the match ended and the sun came out.

What's the over all length of your Vudoo in the MPA Chassis? I'm getting one, also with a 20" barrel...trying to see what I should get for a rifle case.

I don't know yet, since it hasn't arrived. UPS shows that it's delayed, and my FFL is closed today. Hopefully it arrives tomorrow. Might not actually have it in hand until Weds. Will post photos once it arrives, along with dimensions. I heard that 20" is not necessarily 20". Depends on optimized barrel length. Might be shortened to 19".

Haven't seen that much snow around here since the "Blizzard" of '93. We got 6" that day :)

Has anyone regretted their 22" Kukri? I'm looking for overall balance of a traditional style stock like the KRG Bravo without needing to add unnecessary weight.

I like the one I have, but I also have the heavy butt plate spacer installed. I also have a 20” Kukri and it balances a bit better offhand.

Here's my gen 2 in a Bravo. I plan on adding a minimalist spigot to move more weight forward and more room for a bag

I have a 22” Kukri in an AI chassis. Not perfectly balanced but will still balance on a mini fortune cookie with holding it. Wouldn’t change it at all.

The more I shoot my Vudoo, the more I love it. I'm no marksman like most of you guys but I'm happy with these groups from today. 50 yds of course. Bipod and bag.

My Vudoo V22 arrived today. The quality is top notch!!! Very pleased! Once it stops snowing I'll take it to the range and put it through its paces (tomorrow or Friday). Really pleased with how the color came out!

Looks great! Over all length? What does it weigh?

Edit add: weight with bipod.

Looking for length end to end? Give me a minute!

Overall length to end of buttstock: 38-1/2". Barrel length: 18-3/8". My requested barrel length was 20". But it looks great, and I'm sure they cut the barrel to the best length. Haven't weighed it yet.

Thanks. Did you measure the barrel from the face of the breach, or from the front of the action?

One thing I will say (for those thinking of using a NightForce 7-35 x 56 scope) is that both the medium and large knobs will not clear the zoom adjustment screw on the NightForce when at full zoom. They told me it would clear, but they hadn't added the screw to the NightForce scope.

Weight is 14.4 lbs with bipod. That's with the RRS BTC-Pro clamp on Atlas bipod with spikes and Wiebad cheekpad. Whoops...add a bit for the bolt and bolt knob which I forgot to put in when I weighed it.

I think that's where your barrel measured "short" from the 20" you ordered. The barrel length should go all the way to the breach. Someone correct me if I'm wrong. Great looking build!

you are right. From muzzle to front of bolt face so putting a rod down the bore is the most accurate way to measure.

The new 360 will solve that issue ;)
