Built/assembled this for critter control in Hooterville. We live directly across the road from 20 plus acres of rough timber. With that fact established, it’s a steady stream of coon, opossum, skunk, etc... making their way over in the evening to eat cat food. My 22’s live on a steady diet of Wolf Match Extra, however, match ammo doesn’t drop critters the best. Typically low/ambient light, they’re moving quickly and I’m in a hasty field position.
Tikka T1x in 17 HMR. Area 419 15 MOA base, KRG chassis, trigger at 2.5 lbs, etc... Threw on a spare USO 5-25x56 I keep around in case a center fire scope goes down. So far groups run sub half MOA at 100 yards with some in the .2’s. So far have only run the Hornady 17 gr V-MAX. Have a couple CCI offerings I haven’t tried yet. Been fun so far. Time will tell.
After the initial sight in, and slipping the turrets, I confirmed zero this morning. It was dead on. I placed Walnuts on the plate rack at 100 this morning at it literally vaporizes them
