    What're you lifting right now?

Amen! I got serious 2 years ago and educated myself on nutrition, proper form, exercise splits, rest, etc. Since then I dropped from 256 to 204 and will probably end up around 195. Most days I can't remember how much was on the bar cuz some days it's heavy and others it's about reps. I just work...

I haven't needed the Whidden toolheads. I do use the Inline Fabrication LED strips and Skylight.

I'm right in your neighborhood. If you need some assistance with pistol send me a PM and I can probably help. I've got about 20k rounds through my two 550s. There is some really good info on the Brian Enos site as well along with all kinds of tips and tricks. I belong to PR&G and also hit BA...

RL 550B setup for 308 , 45acp and 40 S&W free to a good home!!! AZ Local Only

What city are you in? I'm running a pair of 550s west of downtown Phx. Sounds like you have your priming issues resolved and hopefully you read the stickies in the FAQ sections.

    Gunsmithing Phoenix Az Gunsmiths

Give Derek at AZEX a call. He's a bit outside PHX proper but he's a wizard with most gas guns.

Sidearms & Scatterguns Is it normal for a 4" 1911 to eject brass straight back?

I've had several guns do this over the years. Often it's the brass hitting the back edge of the ejection port and ricocheting off the front edge and bouncing straight back. Check the inside edges of the ejection port for brass marks. I generally solve it by changing the ejection angle so it...

    Cleaning off 'One Shot'

Same here. One Shot works for me on .308 but I do use Imperial on .223 brass and tumble it off before loading.

    Couple newbie questions

The process is similar for both handgun and rifle in that you start at the bottom of the published load range and then work up in .2-.3gr increments but most people are looking for the best accuracy. The lowest charge to cycle is probably not the most accurate. Competition shooters are also...

Ballpark velocity on 10.5" SBR (55g/77g)

I get an ave of 2,621fps using 55gr Hornady and 25.2gr of TAC out of a 10.3" barrel. About 40fps slower but more accurate with 26.5gr of CFE.

Gunsmithing I Need a Break From Bolt Guns

Don't know if you have one but an AR is a pretty good erector set. Simple enough with endless variations and quite a bit easier than scratch building a 1911. If you elect to go with a 1911 I'd recommend Jerry Kuhnhausens books and make sure you buy some spare parts. You usually ruin a few...

Upgrade to a Dillon 550 or buy a Chargemaster?

If speed is what you are looking for upgrading your press is the answer. A 550 is not an auto-indexing press but it will easily get you 350-400 rounds an hour. A Chargemaster is good but it's not going to really speed up your loading. A 650 is another good option if you want an auto indexing...

Does any of you use a 3 way cutter?

You can do that but the drill adapter isn't that great. After stripping three of them I bought a 1/2" chuck for my drill and just put the shaft directly into the drill.

Good books for reloading, specifically .308 long range.

If you hit the reloading forum there are several stickies.
