    Just stick with 2.800 OAL for 168gr Nosler bullets?

    Using a Hornady OAL comparator, I'm getting a loaded OAL of about ~2.700 in my GAP 308 rifle. Doesn't that seem too short? Regular match 168gr ammo like Federal FGMM that are loaded out to 2.800 seem to chamber and shoot fine. Something I'm missing here?

    Is it just due to barrel life? Recently acquired a 6.5 Creedmoor barrel along with a 308 bolt body and magazine adapter for my AXMC. Seems like 6mm cartridges are rising in popularity over 6.5 in PRS. Starting to wonder if I should have gotten a 6mm Creedmoor barrel instead.

    Anyone load 50 BMG?

    Hmm, ya I think I'm going to do my best to scrounge up some M33 projectiles. Seems like $0.80 is the going rate. I can't shoot anything incendiary or tracer at my shooting grounds so it has to be ball/FMJ. Guess WC860 is optimal for M33 ball then?

    Sorry I shoulda clarified more. When I ordered the GAP10 initially, I was told that most of the barrel specs are proprietary or secret... and that the only way to get a true replacement barrel is to send it back in. Besides the barrel dimensions/profile... I don't think there's anything else...
