Does anyone make an aftermarket magnum bolt for Tikka rifles? I know Brownells has them occasionally, but they’re few and far between. In theory, could I take one out of my 7 Mag and have a fab shop make me another one?

If it’s on a trust currently, you can still just add them to the trust. The new 41F only change things during the purchasing process, not the trust amendment process. I file about 100 Form 4’s a year for clients, and it’s not uncommon for people to amend their trusts after a form has been approved.

That definitely seems slow. There was a test somewhere where they were cutting a creedmoor barrel down inch by inch, and with 142 SMK's they were getting above 2600.

There are other good brakes out there, but in the end, what are you going to love? If you have an APA but wish you had the Surefire, then get the Surefire. I've been running Silencerco ASR, but that's because I run my can on it.

Is this just a sale that they're running or new pricing on them? Cause that takes away my worries about the mags for the CTR I just picked up.

The biggest problem is mags. I have yet to find a platform with mags that will work with a 22 Nosler.

What sort of velocities is everyone seeing out of an 18 inch gun? I've been playing with the idea of building one for a while now and have a lead on a barrel for a great price.

Stay away from Remington. Most smiths do lots of work on Remington 700s, but it's because they need the most work done. Our shop has been sending back a ton of Remington's for QC issues. Trust everyone one when they say Tikka, cause it's the best choice.

The Tikka is the way to go! That being said, we just got the new HMRs in at my shop, and we've all been drooling over them.

Does anyone have and experience with them? I'm looking at snagging one with a 1-8 since the 1-7 twist is out of stock.
