Well I got to use an Applied Ballistics Kestrel and liked it so much I bought one. It is easy to use and the profile I created was pretty accurate for guess work. Now that I have my own I downloaded the custom curves so my dope should be exact. You can download profiles and update the software...
Thanks! It's reassuring and refreshing to own a product whose creators will stand right with the users and help us troubleshoot and actually care that we have a good experience with the product.
UPDATE: Fixed
I have a bad habit of leaving my laptop on and forgetting to restart it once in a while. Did some PC updates and restarted my laptop and now everything is working correctly and I am able to load profiles to my kestrel and transfer them from my kestrel to my computer.
I did this...
Ya I may have to give someone a call. I double checked the COM port and have the BT on the kestrel on high sitting just inches from my laptop. I'm thinking it must be BT version.
I'm having issues using the profile loader on my PC.
After pairing with my computer and trying to load a profile to my kestrel, I get the following message: "Could not transmit profiles....Too many NAKs..."
If I try again I get the message: "Could not determine state of device...Check...
That appears to be a mirror image of another picture on their page not a picture of an actual lefty.
edit: By the way I wanted to say that .260 barrel you did for me is a heck of a lot more accurate than me. My best group with it is 0.328"
So...Thanks!
