I have a Master Sporter in 7mm-08. I hardly shoot it since I only have one 5 round mag for it. Are there any options for using 10 round Tikka or AI magazines? I am fine with buying a chassis if I have to, but the stock furniture is nice too. Should I just sell and buy a different rifle? Thanks
I just got a used but new to me scope. As I was inspecting it, I noticed that with my eye centered in the eye box you can see part of the inside of the scope near the top. In the picture you can see part of the reticle is actually shadowed by it. This is at 6 power, it disappears at higher...
They were on sale for significantly less than that a few years back if I recall, I was hoping for somewhere around that price but might have missed my chance :(
Its 18mm but 1mm pitch, so my guess is no. I was thinking maybe there is some extra forgiveness with it being a clamp type at the rear. Curious if anyone has tried it. Thanks.

Re: 20" 300 win mag totally stupid? I think the short magnums are designed to fit in a short action, not to better the performance in short barrels. I could be wrong though
Re: Barrel fluting- is this all about weight? If stiffness is the most important factor in accuracy, why isn't everyone running high modulus carbon fiber barrels with steel liners? Secondly, on the subject of moments of inertia, fluting only increases stiffness in the direction of the rib...
Re: NightForce NXS Accuracy +1 on what Robert said. You can really range at any magnification if you know how to multiply and divide. Doing it at 22x just eliminates that step. The less steps for someone to do under pressure reduces mistakes, hence all of these new tools to help you do it...
