    6mm Berger 105vld????

    Re: 6mm Berger 105vld???? I have to disagree in regards to the 6mm line, the vld hunting and vld target versions are different, in other calibers the bc remains the same with the vlds. As per the berger website the vld target is 0.493 and the hunting vld is 0.532.

    Re: 7mm-08 and Heavy Target Bullets I ran a 708 for a while and in my opinion the 175smk is where it's at. I ran a 22" barrel and could run 2700fps without pressure. According to Litz the G1 is 0.639 and the G7 is 0.327, I tried 180's but ballistically the 175's in my gun outperformed them...

    Re: 25-06 who's shooting one? Neil I ran one for a few years, good hunting rifle. I agree the choice of a decent bc bullet sucks. I ended up running 100 ballistic tips as it gave an ok ballance of speed and bc, the 115 ballistic tip gets a bc of around .45 not the greatest but it'll work...

    Re: USO SN3 3.2-17x44 vs. S&B 4-16x42 PMII S&B service center is in NH. As hydro stated it's a lot of personal preference, my preference is S&B though and therefore that's what I'd suggest. I prefer the optics, turrets, and reticles of S&B.

    Re: 22BR and 6BR AI magazine kit poll..... I have done a very similar mod to a 5rd aics mag with good results. However I have recently converted a 223 aics mag. The 223 mag works better than the 5rd 308 mag and it holds 7 rounds. IMO the one to modify is the 223 mag, it's less work...

    Re: 42mm Schmidt on an LTR, how low can I go? fwiw seekins lows allow enough clearance to run a 4-16x50 on a #7 contour barrel with a badger rail, just clears a bc. You'll have a bit of a gap especially with a ltr contour barrel.
