    Reloading Equipment Found: H1000

I was able to get 5 lbs from Hodgdon a couple weeks ago, so I should be good for a while. Thanks for checking though!

    Reloading Equipment Found: H1000

I certainly appreciate it. I'll take multiple 1lb containers or an 8 lb if available.

If you don't mind sharing, I've been looking for quite some time as well. I hit the Hodgdon site daily, but to no avail.

Suppressors Does suppressor count as Barrel Length?

That's a great way to put it, and that's what I had imagined from the beginning. However, we keep hearing about people getting "increases" in their MV - and it doesn't make any sense how that could be. I agree, it's a larger chamber and therefore the gasses spread out more, so it would seem to...

Suppressors Does suppressor count as Barrel Length?

Just to confirm... You're saying my 26" standard barrel with my current 6.5SAUM load (3030 MV) - will Chrono the same as a 20" barrel with my 7" TBAC? If that's the case I'm ordering a 20" proof tonight!! Thanks in advance for your help Zak!!

Suppressors Does suppressor count as Barrel Length?

My questions is this: If I purchase a 20" barrel for my 6.5saum and add my TBAC Ultra 7 (making overall length 27"), will the muzzle velocity be more or less than a standard 26" barrel? using the same loaded rounds. I've read many times that suppressors do not reduce muzzle velocity, but is...

Hunting & Fishing Building a custom hunting rifle...

I'm building almost the exact rifle! Only exceptions are: ARC Mausingfield action 22" Proof Carbon Sender 1:7.5 ....and of course, I'm not quite lucky enough to own a ZCO yet, but that too is on my list. You clearly have good taste! :)

    opinions wanted: 223, x47L, or 308?

^^^ THIS ^^^^ I've shot each of these calibers for years, and would hands down choose the 47L over the other two. It's more accurate at range and it's one of the least finicky cartridges you'll ever reload.

Why was the revolutionary war fought.

    This is the correct answer.

    New Member, New Rifle.

You're headed in the right direction! MPA makes some of the best Chasis systems out there and ARC is without a doubt in a league of there own. Add a Bartlein barrel to the mix with a 419 or APA brake and you're in business.

Gunsmithing Gunsmith opinion on Titanium vs Steel action

Believe it or not, Yes, 6oz matters (and has nothing to do with sounding bad ass). The reason it matters is that I hunt the back country and have to carry EVERYTHING on my back. This is the same reason they make ultra-light packs, ultra-light tents, ultra-light sleeping bags, etc.. It's not...

Gunsmithing Gunsmith opinion on Titanium vs Steel action

LongRifles Inc - I've read your posts and absolutely value your expertise (have been a long-time admirer or your products) - but it sounds like you agree with the "smiths" that I've talked to and are not a believer in Titanium either. Correct? - So here is the next question, "what ultra-light"...

Wow! That's a gorgeous rifle! I have never seen an entirely Titanium mauser style action. Thanks for the reply.

Gunsmithing Gunsmith opinion on Titanium vs Steel action

I've spoke to four gun smiths in the last week about building a rifle for me using a Lone Peak or Mac Brothers titanium action. I've had two of them tell me "I won't touch a titanium action because it won't last" and two of them that told me "I'll build it, but I won't guarantee it". What's...

    Need help with stock/bottom metal

What's the rest of your build? and what do you think the finished weight will be? I'm trying to get as close to 9lbs. finished as I can. I have a Vortex AMG for glass, which is about 28oz's not including the rings. If I can keep the stock as close to 2lbs as possible, I should be able to...

Thanks for the recommendation on the Curtis custom! I had yet to look at their stuff, but I think that will work perfectly. Now I just need to figure out the stock.

    Need help with stock/bottom metal

I'm in the process of building a switch-barrel (swap-barrel) rifle that will be used primarily for hunting, so I'd like to save as much weight as possible. I've got a Bighorn TL3 SA on order and will be mating it with a Proof Carbon barrel and a Trigger Tech trigger. My question is: Which...

PRS Talk Thinking of signing up for a match..

I wouldn't buy anything until after the match. You'll get to see one of everything on the market at that match and I've never met a shooter who wasn't more than happy to give you his opinion on a piece of gear (or let you try it out). The fact that your wife is encouraging you to do this is...
