I have On-X. Love it for western hunting. I have the premium so it's nation wide. I think it's worth looking into. You can sample it for trial period. Use "Randy" for a discount I think.
I did the same thing. I want a 20" 6.5 PRC....nobody makes one. I'm not looking to spend that custom money anymore. The factory stuff shoots good enough.
Thanks for the reply...Thats what I was kinda thinking...build a really short handy 308...collapsable stock and all that. That will be a great rifle for everything but shooting across Canyons. For the long stuff a lot can be said for calibers like my 300WM. I currently have a SAC 260 with a...
Do you guys know if I can order a 20" 6.5 PRC barrel on the MPR? I know it's not a factory option but I didn't know if they would do semi custom offerings like that.
I think for must hunts I would just run a thread protector or a the brake....If I was hunting close to the truck maybe lug the can along... I just don't want a 24 or 26" tube and then want to suppress it and it be unwieldy. If I'm going to run that long of a barrel I think I'd stay with my...
I'm doing my research on the 6.5PRC...seem like you don't want to drop the barrel length below 22" to really get the benefit of the cartridge over the creedmoor. So if Im wanting to build a hunting rifle..western big game....barrel length 16-20" should I just go ahead and build a 308 or 6.5...
This thread is entertaining but is getting a little wild. Consider this. There are units in the United States Military that are arguably the most highly trained, well funded, experienced and professional military units in modern times and possibly the history of the world. Money is no object...
1. The Sig was Cheaper. 2. Refer to 1 *Anyone in the US Army who actually shoots pistols will NOT be shooting the Army's new Sig....They shoot what they want and it isn't a Sig....It's a Glock. The new Sig is for shoulder holsters in the chow hall.
I actually had the opportunity to shoot the NX8 the other day from 100-700yds. I found the dot to be daylight bright which was nice. I didn't have to adjust my buttstock when I cranked the magnification from 1-8 which was nice. The eye box was ok but I would love a larger ocular window...
For guys that have experience with both. I have a NF 2.5-10x24. I love the optic but the eye box is pretty tight. I'm about to purchase a 1-6 or 1-8. My top contenders are the Vortex HD-E, NF 1-8, and Vortex Voodoo. Opinions are welcome on any. My budget is under $1800. My biggest...
I have a Glock 20 with a SF X300. My ammo is Underwood 140gr Extreme Penetrator. It's rated at 1500fps with 700lbs of Energy. I have Hackathorn night sights on it I believe. They're on amazon, high visibility and cheap. I carry a Glock professionally so for me it makes a lot of sense. I...
I have a Tier 1 Agis and a TREX arms Sidecar. They're both great holsters. I love the idea carrying appendix and carrying a spare mag up front. In practice I find it a little irritating as the holster tends to rub the top of my pubic region in a not so pleasurable way. I can still wear them...
Did he hit a nerve with that one? I find it interesting when you tell the OP to write his "corrupt congressman" when the TSA is a product of elected officials.
This ^^^^^^^ I couldn't agree more with this statement. I recently purchased my 2nd NF. I'm running a 3-15x50 SFP on my hunting rifle. I really like the build quality, turrets, glass etc. If they do bring out more FFP options I'll be upgrading for sure and using my SFP for other projects.
