I'm looking for a decent laser that will mount on many different firearms and live for a while. Cheap is OK, as it doesn't really have to hold zero well or even adjust well. I want it to mount up to illustrate NPA, breathing, etc and to diagnose anticipating a shot and poor trigger control...

If a person wrapped tape around a muzzle brake to cut down on blast when hunting, did they manufacture a suppressor? How do the brakes that can be closed fare in this? I was just noticing how much some brakes and monolithic cans are similar.

Re: How Many actual SHTF scenarrios in your lifetime? Unless you are so desperate that you have to eat them, why are you shooting stray dogs? A cat may go feral in a couple of weeks. Domestic dogs mostly just die or look for a new home in the amount of time that most SHTF scenarios mentioned...

Re: Remington 700 trigger issues. The safey detent ball can/does touch the trigger through the trigger housing plate. No wonder moving it can make the rifle fire.

Re: Remington 700 trigger issues. I reluctantly polished the engagement surfaces with my dremel and a bob with rouge. That seems to have done the trick, sort-of. The pull Weight is still a little over 4lb with minimum safe trigger return spring pressure, but it is smoother and much more...

I've worked over a few 700 triggers and never had to do anything except scrape the goo off and tweak the screws to get a 2.5 to 3lb trigger that was smooth with little to no creep and broke like the over-used proverbial glass rod. Not this one. It has faught me the whole way. With 1/3rd to 1/2...

Re: Cutting Down a 5R Barrel If you plan to sell the rifle at some point, resale may be affected. If you believe in ocw and barrel timing, that should change as well as your "pet load" may be different. Make sure the crown is done right or accuracy will suffer.

Re: Deactivating Live Primers... Just don't let live primers build up in your catch tray.... 500 primers ignited by the last one going off during removal would make for a bad day.

Re: Deactivating Live Primers... Take the decapping pin out of your sizer die or run the expander ball assy up away from the bottom of the case, then lube & size the cases, load them, and shoot them. OR, if for some reason you don't want to load cartridges with those primers, just deprime...
