    FM 3-22.10

Re: FM 3-22.10 A. The download requires DOD certs (cookie), which I do not have. Or B. It's something that's password protected... If you have a link to one that is not A or B, please share it. A couple of chapters only are on scribd and cannot be saved or downloaded by me, maybe...

Anybody know where a civilian can get a copy of FM 3-22.10? Or is it a controlled document?

    using a laser for diagnosis

I'm looking for a decent laser that will mount on many different firearms and live for a while. Cheap is OK, as it doesn't really have to hold zero well or even adjust well. I want it to mount up to illustrate NPA, breathing, etc and to diagnose anticipating a shot and poor trigger control...

Tried a new DA solver system

Re: Tried a new DA solver system Both are pretty interesting. I will be curious about the new options available for the FDAC since I just bought one. I have thought about "merging" a Mil-Dot master and something like these by making the Mil reading the range input...

    Suppressors tape on a brake

If a person wrapped tape around a muzzle brake to cut down on blast when hunting, did they manufacture a suppressor? How do the brakes that can be closed fare in this? I was just noticing how much some brakes and monolithic cans are similar.

Fieldcraft How Many actual SHTF scenarrios in your lifetime?

Re: How Many actual SHTF scenarrios in your lifetime? Unless you are so desperate that you have to eat them, why are you shooting stray dogs? A cat may go feral in a couple of weeks. Domestic dogs mostly just die or look for a new home in the amount of time that most SHTF scenarios mentioned...

    Gunsmithing Remington 700 trigger issues.

Re: Remington 700 trigger issues. User SPROUT PMd me an idea that I tried. He mentioned that improper timing of the cocking piece can cause added friction in the trigger group if it is binding things up. About 10min with a dremel stone wheel and my diamond hone took .020" off of the sear...

    Gunsmithing Remington 700 trigger issues.

Re: Remington 700 trigger issues. The safey detent ball can/does touch the trigger through the trigger housing plate. No wonder moving it can make the rifle fire.

    Gunsmithing Remington 700 trigger issues.

Re: Remington 700 trigger issues. I reluctantly polished the engagement surfaces with my dremel and a bob with rouge. That seems to have done the trick, sort-of. The pull Weight is still a little over 4lb with minimum safe trigger return spring pressure, but it is smoother and much more...

    Gunsmithing Remington 700 trigger issues.

Re: Remington 700 trigger issues. I should probably add that this is a 1999 vintage rifle that was very slightly (like 3 boxes) used when I got it. Will Remington sell just a sear safety cam and connector?

    Gunsmithing Remington 700 trigger issues.

I've worked over a few 700 triggers and never had to do anything except scrape the goo off and tweak the screws to get a 2.5 to 3lb trigger that was smooth with little to no creep and broke like the over-used proverbial glass rod. Not this one. It has faught me the whole way. With 1/3rd to 1/2...

    Cutting Down a 5R Barrel

Re: Cutting Down a 5R Barrel If you plan to sell the rifle at some point, resale may be affected. If you believe in ocw and barrel timing, that should change as well as your "pet load" may be different. Make sure the crown is done right or accuracy will suffer.
