Re: Honest scope base opinions I have badger lows on my 700 and love them, well they dont move and thats what counts. For some reason I dont remember them being expensive, 30 or 40 bucks maybe, you have to look for the deals. hell I paid that much for my stock pouch thingy.

Re: Tactical rifle as primary hunting rifle? I plan on hunting this fall with my remington 700, it's right around 12.5 lbs, but I can loose the butt pouch, bipod, and toss a lighter sling on it and shave a little bit of heft... If I get wimpy I can always borrow the wifes 270, its light.
