With new brass, I always run them through the sizing die with the expander ball. It has been my experience that Lapua necks are extremely tight and need neck sizing with the expander ball to get correct neck tension. It doesn't really matter whether it's a neck or FL die. Sent from my iPhone...
You only need tension enough to hold the bullet securely. If the current sized case neck will not support or hold the bullet then you'll need to measure neck wall thickness as described by ZiaHunter.
Seat a bullet and measure neck diameter. Subtract .002" and that will be the bushing size for standard neck tension. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
How was the bolt lift? The primer doesn't show signs of pressure. I had ejector swipe on some new loads for my 6x47 Lapua but no other signs of pressure. I ran a dry chamber mop in the chamber and the pressure signs went away. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
+1 ... I have never had a stuck case or had any kind of problem with Imperial Sizing Wax. There's no reason to try re-inventing the wheel. + Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Here are the OCW instructions: http://optimalchargeweight.embarqspace.com/ocw-instructions/4529817134 . IMHO 200 yards is too far. Groups will be easier to identify at 100 yards. I strongly suggest you read the instructions for the OCW. Good luck. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
This thread was started 15 May 12 and the Applied Ballistics web site has stated an iOS version coming soon. It's more than obvious to me they don't care about the iOS clientele. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
I don't know how many shots you have on your barrel but I had a big MV drop with Varget and it was do to throat erosion. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
