    Project: Inexpensive Rifle Accelerometer

Already have the data actually...:) I've done testing on my Win Mag before and after muzzle brakes and suppressors. My firearm computer does G ranges up to 200G's whereas the regular accelerometers only do 2 to 4G's. One of the big challenges is a trigger analysis device like a MantisX needs...

    Project: Inexpensive Rifle Accelerometer

Hello, this is CanPopper here. I've already created a full firearm computer to collect this type of data and more (and got the US patent too...). Those of you who are curious can message me. We've shown this new system at Shot Show 2019.

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite 3.5-21x50 DMR for 20% hunting and 80% long range?

Here is a video I did of the Trijicon 5-20x50: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rPWPz1aiZbI Another choice maybe the SWFA 5-20x50 if you are too price sensitive for the March. This scope is generally considered to be the main competitor to the Bushnell DMR scopes in terms of prices and...

Rifle Scopes Bushnell Elite 3.5-21x50 DMR for 20% hunting and 80% long range?

I have both the Trijicon and the Bushnell HDMR. For hunting, the Trijicon would be the better scope since it has a thicker reticle with daylight and low light illumination. I agree the reticle on the Bushnell would be really hard to see at low power. I can barely see mine in bright light at...

    High End Spotting Scope Recommendation

I use the Pentax PF-100ED. That's a great spotter as well and the large objective gives me excellent resolving power. The great thing about the Pentax is I can use telescope eyepieces since it accepts the standard 1.25" eyepieces so I have eyepieces such as the Televue Delos as well as the...

Rifle Scopes Scope with most "Color Pop"?

I have a number of scopes. In terms of color pop, I would say the Zeiss Diavari and the SWFA 5-20x50 HD gives the best "pop" or contrast. Both can be had (depending on model for the Zeiss) for below the $3k threshold.

Rifle Scopes Nightforce=excellent. March=excellent with low weight. other scopes worth looking at?

How about the SWFA 5-20X50? That is also a fairly light scope that would be in your price range. Or maybe the Trijicon Accupoint 5-20x50? The Sightron 6-24x50 might be worth a look too; it weighs the same as the March.

    Rifle Scopes Need some advice

Well, I'm personally partial to Murphy Precision bases. I think they are the best and just about perfect. I don't like EGW nor Warne which was what was on there before; the screws that come with the EGW and Warne are soft and strip easily. Ok if you plan to mount once and Locktite. Not OK...

    Rifle Scopes Need some advice

What is the twist rate on the barrel of your Savage? Is it 1 in 9? If so, the 69 gr match bullet would provide the most accuracy. From my load tests results on my Savage 116 in .223, 700 to 800 yards would be the most the bullet will go before going subsonic. For that distance, you need...

    Rifle Scopes Trijicon TARS

I've handled it at the NRA Convention. It seems like a pretty good scope. My main complaint was the weight, its mag range of 3-15x, and its price. For that weight, I can get a Vortex or NF Beast that has more mag range. For that price, I can get a March, Nightforce, or S&B. For its mag...

Rifle Scopes Suggest a base for my Savage 110HS 300 win mag.

You can check out Murphy Precision. I run their 20 MOA base on my Savage in .300 Win Mag and it works out beautifully. You can also look into Murphy Rings too. He can cut them as low as you need em, even if they aren't listed on his website. He does custom orders which I've done before...

    Rifle Scopes Accupoint 3-9x40

I got one mounted to my RFB, a .308 bullpup rifle. I like it because it is the lightest weight illuminated scope that is also high quality. Main limitation with the Accupoint is it is not a scope designed for dialing. Not very much elevation. Instead, I use the mildot reticle for holdover...

Muzzle brake for a 300. win mag

I used to run the JP. Now I use the VIAS. To me, the VIAS is the best one. It actually reduces recoil better than the JP and most importantly, it doesn't need to be timed and is very easy to remove so I can swap in a suppressor. I've used a whole bunch of different ones from JP, Tubb...

Rifle Scopes Someone tell me a NF BEAST is just way too much

I run a March 3-24x42 on a similar rifle. That to me is the right sized and most versatile scope for a longer barrel AR. And the magnification range means I can do some precision shooting to boot.

I've been thinking about getting this one for my 22LR: Swarovski - Camera Land NY

Rifle Scopes Scope mount for AR-15.

JP Enterprise makes a great cantilever mount that is very well priced. I'm not too hot on the PEPR. My scopes tend to slip on my PEPR no matter how hard I tighten the screws.

    Rifle Scopes March-F 3x-24x52...

The FML-1 reticle that comes on the March 3-24's isn't that much different than the one on the SWFA SS HD 5-20x50mm scope. I don't see what the whining is about since the SWFA is well regarded. And I own them both.

T3 Summit, thoughts on buying one

I have a rifle I build on the T3 Summit action. At first, my rifle shot terrible with many failures to extract and bullets simply not firing. Upon further inspection, I found that the bolt wasn't headspaced properly to the barrel leading to this problem. I sent it back for repair and am happy...

    Rifle Scopes March-F 3x-24x52...

Ok, I just ordered one. Couldn't resist. I hate big heavy clunky scopes.

Rifle Scopes Is the NF BEAST too much optic for a Larue Predatobr 7.62

Yes, it is too much scope. It is too long, too heavy, too tall, too clunky. For AR's, I feel smaller, lighter scopes are the way to go. Leupold makes a nice small compact scope. So does March. I've mounted a Bushnell HDMR on my AR before and even that smaller scope made my AR top heavy and...
