    Re: When do you carry? I'm in PA and didn't know you couldn't carry in church. I do and will continue to until the Big Guy weighs in to tell me otherwise. I figure some whack job might think it's a easy target. Plus I just feel naked without it and who wants to go to church naked.

    Re: Update on 6" bear killed w/ 338L pics I took a 6 1/2 foot boar in Idaho in 2008 similar to your. We packed him out on mules so not sure of the weight. A 338 win with 210 barnes did the job. He was old with a broken cheekbone from a fight, I guess. Nice bear.

    Re: 300. Win mag for long range hunting I'd run a 26" barrel and shoot a 180 Barnes, your GTG to 400-450. I was using a 300 win for a long time. Now I use a 338 win and a 210 Barnes for everything from elk to deer. Ive taken game cleanly at 400 with it, practice at those ranges is the key.
