This post perfectly sums up the reason this topic pops up every 4-6 months. There are plenty of opportunities out there to shoot, but I think there are lots of people that just like the idea of shooting and not actually doing it.

It looks better in person than in the pictures. This is one of the better finishing jobs I've seen.

It is all based on personal preference. I shoot F-T/R, but I have close friends that shoot Open. A few use the mariner type and a few use the joysticks. These are guys that can afford to buy whatever they want, so it is a personal choice. You should see if anyone local will let you borrow one...

These are what I use: AMP37 | HEAR-PRO I initially bought them just to use while I shot F-Class, but now I wear them when I hunt as well. The only regret I have is that I didn't find them sooner. They are half as much as the ESP earplugs, have a NRA discount and support the shooting sports.

Hafner makes custom cases to any length you want. I use one with my F-T/R rifle and it works great. It's not very tactical if that is what you are looking for. :)
